Floods inflicts $4.7 million damages to Irkutsk Region agriculture

BRATSK /Irkutsk Region/, June 30. /TASS/: The damages inflicted on the agriculture in the flood-affected areas of the Russian region of Irkutsk amount approximately to 300 million rubles ($4.740 million), Deputy Minister of Agriculture Maxim Uvaidov said.

"The overall damage is evaluated to be around 300 million rubles ($4.740 million - TASS)," he told the meeting convened by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the flood situation in the Irkutsk Region.

Over 1,000 residential houses affected by floods in eastern Siberia

IRKUTSK, June 29. /TASS/: Over 1,000 residential houses were affected by floods in the town of Tulun in the Irkutsk region in Russia's eastern Siberia, the town's emergencies service told TASS on Saturday.

Earlier reports said that over 870 residential houses were affected, along with over 1,170 residents.

"Over 1,000 houses," the emergencies service said in a response to a question on how many houses were affected by the floods.

The service added that evacuation of people from the affected area continues.

UAE: ‘No evidence’ to blame any country for oil tanker attack

Russia offers to sell new batch of Su-35 fighter jets to China — government service

KUBINKA, June 27. /TASS/: Russia has offered to sell another batch of Su-35 fighter jets to China, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation told TASS on the sidelines of the "Army-2019" forum.

"We are expecting a response from China on our offer to purchase modern weapons and military equipment manufactured in Russia, including additional batches of Su-35 fighter jets," the service said.

China was the first country to purchase Russia's Su-35 fighter jets. The contract on the purchase of 24 fighter jets worth around $2.5 bln was signed in 2015.

S-400 missile systems will be delivered to Turkey by year-end — government service

MOSCOW, June 26. /TASS/: Russia will deliver S-400 Triumf missile defense systems to Turkey by the end of this year, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation said on Wednesday.

"We plan to fulfill our commitments on delivering equipment and training specialists by the end of this year," the service said.

The contract is being fulfilled in accordance with the timeframe coordinated by the sides, the service added. "As Turkish officials repeatedly stated, the equipment can be delivered as early as next month," the service noted.

Twenty-two people injured in emergency plane landing in Russia's Siberia

MOSCOW, June 27. /TASS: Twenty-two people were injured when an An-24 plane made an emergency landing in Russia's Buryatia region, local medical services told TASS on Thursday.

"Twenty-two people were injured, 15 of them received medical assistance on the site, while seven other people were hospitalized," medical services said.

Two crewmembers died during the emergency landing. There were 46 people on board, including four crewmembers.
