Bitcoin rate rises by 9.4% per day updating year’s record highs

MOSCOW, May 27. /TASS/: The average exchange rate of Bitcoin over the past day increased by almost 9.4% and reached 8,750.24 dollars per unit of cryptocurrency. Thus, the price returned to the levels of mid-May 2018, according to Coinmarketcap.

The capitalization of the bitcoin market, according to the website, reached $155.1 bln.

The price of cryptocurrency began to grow significantly in early May of this year.

Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency system of the same name based on blockchain technology, which can be mined by any user.

World shares advance as centrists lose ground in EU vote

BANGKOK (AP) — Shares advanced Monday in Europe after centrists lost ground to pro-business and environmentalist groups in elections for the 28-nation bloc’s parliamentary assembly.

Germany’s DAX climbed 0.5% to 12,066.21 and the CAC 40 in France added 0.3% to 5,332.66. Markets were closed in Britain. With U.S. markets closed for the Memorial Day holiday, the future contract for the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged 0.1% higher to 25,652.00 and that for the S&P 500 was nearly unchanged at 2,832.90.

China state TV carries Daily Show spot on Huawei lead in 5G

BEIJING (AP) — China has deployed an unlikely voice in its trade war with the U.S.: Trevor Noah of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show.

A brief clip from the comedian’s “If You Don’t Know, Now You Know” segment on Chinese equipment maker Huawei’s dominance in next-generation 5G mobile technology ran on state broadcaster CCTV’s national lunchtime news on Monday.

It was part of a barrage of stories and commentaries attacking the U.S. stance in the standoff between the world’s two largest economies.

Proton-M carrier rocket with Yamal-601 satellite to be rolled out on launch pad on May 27

"A commission at the Baikonur space center made a decision to roll out the Proton-M carrier rocket with Yamal-601 satellite to the launch pad on May 27," the source said.

Restricting Huawei backfires on U.S. interests, disrupts global telecom industry

It was a "wonderful event," said Diethelm Wallwiener, the medical director of the University Women's Hospital in Tübingen. In March and May of this year, two healthy children were born at the hospital whose mothers had transplanted uteruses.

Tariff increase having negative impact on American companies in China

BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- The U.S.-China tariff disputes are having a negative impact on businesses of American companies in China, according to a survey jointly conducted by AmCham China and AmCham Shanghai.

The United States increased additional tariffs on 200 billion U.S. dollars' worth of Chinese goods from 10 percent to 25 percent earlier this month, and has threatened to raise tariffs on some 300 billion dollars' worth of Chinese imports yet to be hit.
