Another shooting in Seattle protest zone leaves 1 wounded

SEATTLE (AP) — One person was wounded in what was the second shooting in Seattle’s protest zone in less than 48 hours, police said.

The shooting happened late Sunday night in the area near Seattle’s downtown that is known as CHOP, for “Capitol Hill Occupied Protest,” police tweeted, adding that one person was at a hospital with a gunshot wound.

Perry (Oklahoma), Jun 21 (AP) A magnitude 4.2 earthquake shook northern Oklahoma on Saturday and was felt in parts of Tulsa as protesters filled the city's downtown streets after President Donald Trump's campaign rally.

The US Geological Survey recorded the quake at 10:15 pm near Perry, roughly 80 miles west of Tulsa.

USA: Trump campaign abruptly cancels outdoor rally

Tulsa, Jun 21 (AP) President Donald Trump's campaign has abruptly canceled an outdoor campaign rally that had been scheduled in downtown Tulsa.

The campaign said Trump and Vice President Mike Pence would only appear at the scheduled indoor event at the BOK Center. No reason was given for the cancellation of the outdoor rally right outside the venue. Images posted on social media showed few people in the outdoor area.

Washington, Jun 21 (PTI) US President Donald Trump has kicked off his re-election campaign with a rally in Oklahoma where he launched a frontal attack on his Democratic opponent Joe Biden, describing him as a helpless puppet of the radical left.

Trump, 74, is pitted against former vice president and Democratic Party's presidential nominee Biden, 77, in the November 3 presidential election.

US halts test of Trump-touted hydroxychloroquine for coronavirus patients

ROCKVILLE (Maryland, US), June 21 (NNN-AGENCIES) — The US National Institutes of Health said it has halted a clinical trial to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of hospitalised COVID-19 patients.

The study found that hydroxychloroquine, which President Donald Trump has frequently touted a possible treatment, did not provide any benefit to the patients, even though it did no harm, NIH said in a statement.
