Bodies of two missing Indian students recovered from lake in US

New York, Apr 23 (PTI) Bodies of two Indian students have been recovered after they went missing at a lake in the US state of Indiana, according to media reports.

Siddhant Shah, 19, and Aryan Vaidya, 20, went swimming at Monroe Lake, roughly 64 miles southwest of downtown Indianapolis, with a group of friends on April 15 but didn't resurface, the USA Today newspaper reported.

Both students attended IU’s Kelley School of Business. They were missing in the water since April 15.

The phone call came just days after Saudi Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud visited Syria for the first time in more than a decade.

Earthquake death toll in Turkey reaches almost 51,000

ANKARA, April 22. /TASS/: More than 50,000 people are listed as dead as a result of earthquakes in Turkey on February 6, the country's Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said on Saturday.

"The death toll from earthquakes with an epicenter in Kahramanmaras has reached 50,783," he told the CNN Turk TV channel.

The earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 occurred on February 6 with nine-hour intervals in Kahramanmaras province in southeastern Turkey. Tremors, followed by hundreds of aftershocks, were felt in neighboring countries, of which Syria was the most affected.

Sudan fighting continues despite ceasefire, army agrees to help evacuate foreigners

KHARTOUM, April 22 (Reuters) - Sudan's army said on Saturday it had agreed to help evacuate foreign nationals as sporadic gunfire and air strikes echoed across Khartoum despite promises by warring sides to cease fire for three days after a week of strife that has killed hundreds.

The statement citing army chief Abdel Fatteh al-Burhan came after promises by rival Rapid Support Forces (RSF) leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemedti, to open airports for evacuations.
