Palestinian PM Called For International Measures To End Incitement By Israeli Officials

RAMALLAH, Mar 23 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammed Ishtaye, yesterday called on the international community, to stop Israeli officials from inciting racism against the Palestinians.

Ishtaye made the remarks during a meeting with the French Consul General in Jerusalem, Rene Trokaz, at Ishtaye’s office in the West Bank city of Ramallah, according to an official statement.

Cost of detaining people under UK's illegal immigration bill could be more than $11bn in 3 years; Refugee Council

22 Mar 2023; MEMO: The Refugee Council has said that the cost of detaining and accommodating people under the government's illegal immigration bill could be more than £9 billion ($10.6 billion) in the first three years.

The charity said that the figure is part of an impact assessment of the bill based on the Home Office being able to remove 30,000 people and send them to Rwanda, detaining people for 28 days and accommodating others.

Jordan Parliament approves proposal to expel Israel envoy amid tension

Turks want to ban foreigners from buying homes

22 Mar 2023; MEMO: Turks overwhelmingly favour a ban on home sales to foreigners, a view that straddles the country's political divide and echoes the backlash against a deluge of buyers in countries from Canada to Portugal, Bloomberg reports.

According to the report, about 79 per cent of Turkish citizens think home sales to foreign nationals should be banned, according to a survey by Metropoll.

Turkiye president to break fast with earthquake survivors

23 Mar 2023; MEMO: In a sign of solidarity, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will today break his fast with the survivors of the double earthquakes that devastated the country in February.

Erdogan will visit the governorate of Kahramanmaras, the epicentre of the devastating earthquakes, to inspect the progress of the reconstruction process there, according to the Anadolu Agency.

Israel Army says drone fell in Syria during 'routine activity'

22 Mar 2023; MEMO: An Israeli drone fell in Syria, on Wednesday, during routine activity, the Israeli military said, according to a report by Reuters.

A military statement said there had been no breach of information and the incident was under investigation. It did not provide further details.
