Israel using medical negligence to kill Palestinian prisoners slowly, report says

12 Sep 2022; MEMO: Israel has adopted a policy of medical negligence against Palestinian prisoners and this has led to "slow killing" in Israeli prisons, a new report has said.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club stressing that "73 prisoners have been martyred in the occupation's prisons as a result of the policy of medical neglect (slow killing), since 1967."

In the report, the PPC stated that "crime of medical negligence, or slow killing, along with policy of torture, are the most prominent policies leading to the death of prisoners."

Egypt denies adopting Russian ruble in tourism sector

12 Sep 2022; MEMO: An adviser to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has denied issuing a circular announcing the use of the Russian ruble instead of the US dollar, local media reported.

This came after the head of the Egyptian Parliament's Tourism Committee, Nora Ali, was quoted by Egyptian media as praising the Central Bank's decision to adopt the use of the Russian ruble in the list of major currencies used in local banks.

Israel: No return to Iran nuclear deal before US mid-term elections

12 Sep 2022; MEMO: Israel believes that there will be no return to Iran's nuclear deal before the US mid-term elections, senior Israeli officials said yesterday.

"If the US does not give into Iran's demands, and Iran does not give into US demands and the IAEA does not close the probes, there will be no return to the agreement," the Times of Israel reported the official saying.

Israel: Lieberman accuses Netanyahu of using Nazi propaganda methods

12 Sep 2022; MEMO: Israeli Finance Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, yesterday accused former Prime Minister and Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu of using propaganda methods similar to those used by the Nazis.

Lieberman accuses Netanyahu of being behind claims made by Yossi Kamisa, a former aide, that the finance minister had commissioned him to kill a police superintendent 20 years ago.

Iran Ready To Provide Lebanon With Fuel Commodities: Ambassador

BEIRUT, Sept 11 (NNN-NNA) – Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, yesterday, reiterated his country’s readiness to provide Lebanon with fuel commodities, construct new power stations, and rehabilitate existing power networks.

He made the remarks during a meeting with Lebanese Energy Minister, Walid Fayad, in Beirut, which came a day after Fayyad indicated that a Lebanese technical delegation would soon visit Iran to discuss the free fuel offer.

Palestinian dies days after being shot in northern West Bank: medics

RAMALLAH, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian died days after being shot during an Israeli raid a few days ago in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, Palestinian medics said on Sunday.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a press statement that Hammad Abu Jelda, 24, succumbed to the critical wounds he sustained on Tuesday during clashes with the Israeli soldiers at the Jenin refugee camp in the city.

Abu Jelda was buried by dozens of Palestinian demonstrators at the city's cemetery, who chanted slogans calling for "revenging his death."

Bhanuka Rajapaksa hit an unbeaten 71 off 45 balls and led Sri Lanka as it recovered to reach 170-6 in the final after Pakistan won the toss and elected to field.

Pakistan crashed to 147 all out off the last balls as its top order continued to struggle against pace with fast bowler Pramod Madushan claiming 4-34 in only his second T20 international.
