Iran: Continuous propaganda by US will make it real pariah

Tehran, IRNA – The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry has warned that the continuous propaganda and media hype by the US will make it a real pariah.

Nasser Kanaani, in a tweet on Friday, described the US’ fabrications on a bankrupt political element, infamous terrorist, and coup plotter against independent countries and governments as a forward escape in a bid not to take responsibility for an international crime.

Iran weighing EU's proposal on safeguards, sanctions, assurances: Diplomat

Tehran, IRNA – An Iranian diplomat has said that the Islamic Republic is weighing the European proposals to ensure its demands are fulfilled.

An Iranian diplomat, who is informed of the process of the ongoing talks in Vienna, told IRNA that the European proposals would be acceptable if it makes credibility in various matters, including political claims linked to issues of IAEA safeguards, sanctions, and guarantees.

He went on to say that the Islamic Republic is considering European proposals to make sure its demands are fulfilled.

2 more ships carrying over 63,000 tonnes of grain leave Ukraine

12 August 2022; MEMO: Two more ships carrying wheat and corn departed from Ukrainian ports today under a deal to unblock Ukrainian grain exports, Turkiye's National Defence Ministry said.

The Belize-flagged ship Sormovsky carrying 3,050 tonnes of wheat left the Chornomorsk port destined for Tekirdag, northwestern Türkiye.

The other ship, Marshal Islands-flagged Star Laura, sailed from the Yuzhny port with 60,000 tonnes of corn for Iran.

Turkiye: 'Normalisation with Israel and Egypt does not mean dispensing with principles'

12 August 2022; MEMO: Turkiye's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said that his country has started the process of normalising relations with Israel and Egypt, but that this process does not mean that Ankara has dispensed with its principles, Anadolu has reported.

Cavusoglu made his comment to journalists yesterday at the conclusion of the 13th conference of Turkish ambassadors in the capital.

UN team visits Bassam Al-Saadi in Israel's Ofer Prison

11 August 2022; MEMO: The UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, announced yesterday evening that a delegation from the international body visited the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement leader, Bassam Al-Saadi, in Israel's Ofer prison.

Wennesland said, in a tweet: "Today, I dispatched a UN team to visit Sheikh Al-Sa'di in Ofer prison to follow-up on UN commitments to maintain calm in Gaza."

11 August 2022; MEMO: Iran's latest space cooperation project with Russia could give Tehran the capacity to launch intercontinental ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads in the future, Israeli officials fear.

According to the Jerusalem Post, officials believe the partnership could also help Iran monitor targets throughout the region and reduce Israeli spies' ability to penetrate the Islamic Republic's border with operations which hold back its nuclear progress.
