04 Feb 2021; MEMO: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said yesterday that his country refuses to change a single article in the nuclear agreement signed in 2015 with the major powers and dismissed calls to broaden its terms or involve new partners.

New Delhi, Feb 3 (PTI) Global airlines' grouping IATA on Wednesday said that 2020 was the worst year for air cargo demand which declined by 10.6 per cent even though the segment is "surviving the crisis in better shape than the passenger side of the business".

"This was the largest drop in year-on-year demand since IATA started to monitor cargo performance in 1990, outpacing the 6 per cent fall in global trade in goods," the International Air Transport Association (IATA) said in a release.

03 Feb 2021; MEMO: Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin and US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan discussed bilateral ties over the phone, an official statement said, reports Anadolu Agency.

Turkey-US relations along with Eastern Mediterranean, Cyprus, Afghanistan, Upper Karabakh, Syria, Libya, and the COVID-19 pandemic were also talked about.

Kalin and Sullivan agreed to strengthen the NATO alliance and to take steps that boost regional and global peace and stability.

03 Feb 2021; MEMO: The UAE Ambassador to the United States, Yousef Al-Otaiba, confirmed that the Joe Biden administration is about to complete reviewing pending arms sales to the Emirates.

Al-Otaiba said: "Should they review it? They absolutely should, but they're going to find what we already know. It was done through a very straightforward negotiating process."

Fitch Solutions said in a report that demand for crude oil would rise in "the North America and the Asia-Pacific region," adding that the recovery would be "slower in Europe and Latin America due to the slow economic recovery in the main markets in those regions."

Islamabad, Jan 31, IRNA -- The mutual trade gate between Iran and Pakistan has been reopened for local traders in Balochistan, local media reported on Sunday.

The trade gate, which is commonly known as Zero Point Gate at Taftan border crossing had been closed in September last year due to which the activities of local traders on both sides of the border were affected.

01 Feb 2021; AA: Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will pay a two-day visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Feb. 1-2.

“During his visit, Minister Cavusoglu will meet with the TRNC authorities to discuss the issues on our common agenda, particularly the Cyprus issue,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

01 Feb 2021; MEMO: Gaza's Interior Ministry yesterday said it would reopen the enclave's local markets this week after over five months of closures.

"Local markets will reopen on 7 February all week, except Fridays and Saturdays, during which a Strip-wide curfew is imposed," the head of the ministry's COVID-19 Managment Cell, Fayeq Al-Mabhouh, told local media.
