Lockheed Martin unveils new combat jet F-21 for India

Bengaluru, Feb 20 (PTI) American Defence giant Lockheed Martin Wednesday unveiled the F-21 multi-role fighter jet for India, to be produced locally, as it eyed a multi-billion dollar military order.

Specifically configured for the IAF, the F-21 provides "unmatched" Make in India opportunities and strengthens India's path to an advanced airpower future, the firm said announcing the plan on the opening day at the Aero-India 2019 air show here.

Indian PM Modi, Saudi Crown Prince hold talks to expand ties

New Delhi, Feb 19 (PTI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman on Wednesday explored ways to further deepen strategic ties, in talks taking place in the backdrop of India's escalating tension with Pakistan following the Pulwama terror attack.

The crown prince arrived here on a less than 30-hour visit Tuesday night, a day after concluding his high-profile tour of Pakistan where he said dialogue was the only way to resolve "outstanding issues" between India and Pakistan.

Indian SC holds Anil Ambani guilty of contempt of court in Ericsson case

Ex-Goldman Sachs banker Roger Ng to face charges in Malaysian court

PUTRAJAYA, Feb 20 (NNN- Bernama) – The extradition of former Goldman Sachs managing director, Roger Ng to the United States (US) will only be carried out after his cases in the Malaysian courts are completed, said Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Muhyiddin said this was the advice of Attorney-General Tommy Thomas to him via an official letter a few days ago informing that Ng has to face charges in Malaysia next month.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrives in India

NEW DEHLI, Feb 20 (NNN-AGENCIES)- Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has arrived in India after visiting Pakistan, on Tuesday.

New Delhi blames Pakistan for a suicide bombing attack last week that killed at least 40 Indian soldiers in disputed Kashmir.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the crown prince at the airport.

Prince Mohammed is expected to make an effort to defuse tensions between India and Pakistan as New Delhi weighs its response to the attack.

Inhabitants oppose transfer of Russia-controlled disputed islands to Japan

MOSCOW, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Nearly all inhabitants of four Russia-controlled Pacific islands claimed by both Moscow and Tokyo are against the transfer of the disputed territory to Japan, a poll showed Tuesday.

It said 96 percent of the 7,695 polled inhabitants of the four islands north of Japan's Hokkaido, called Southern Kurils in Russia and Northern Territories in Japan, supported this option.

Ireland expresses 'frustration' at Brexit deal delay

19 Feb 2019; AFP: Ireland's deputy prime minister expressed annoyance on Monday at Britain's continued failure to ratify a deal on its orderly withdrawal from the European Union.

"Of course there's frustration," Simon Coveney, who is also Dublin's foreign minister, told reporters after more talks in Brussels with EU colleagues.

Britain's Prime Minister Theresa May thinks she might be able to get a deal signed with EU leaders in November past the British parliament if it is reworded.
