The European Union has called on the United States to think about impacts of its possible withdrawal from the INF (Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces) Treaty on its own security and the security of its allies and the entire world, as no one in the world wants another arms race, the European External Action Service (EEAS) said in a statement on Monday.

BEIJING, October 22. /TASS/. Washington’s withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty) will result in negative consequences, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Monday.

"The US unilateral withdrawal from the treaty [INF] will have a multilateral negative effect," the Chinese diplomat said.

US President Donald Trump’s remark on China was "an absolute mistake," she noted. "We hope that all the sides will be able to solve all issues of concern through dialogue."

New Delhi, Oct 22 (PTI) Petrol pumps across the national capital were shut on Monday in protest against the Delhi government's refusal to cut sales tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel.

But for a dozen company-owned-company-operated petrol pumps in the city, all pumps refused fuel, sending motorists running low on fuel and scrambling for alternate refuels.

"All 400 petrol pumps and linked CNG pumps shut operations from 6.00 am Monday and will remain closed till 5 am tomorrow (Tuesday)," said Delhi Petrol Dealers Association (DPDA) President Nishcal Singhania.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization has laid responsibility on Russia for the US decision to withdraw from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty), noting that Moscow 'highly likely' violates this agreement, NATO Spokesperson Oana Lungescu said on Sunday.

TEHRAN, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Iran and Russia traded 956,662 tons of non-oil commodities worth 751.38 million U.S. dollars during the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 - Sept. 22), Eghtesad online news website reported Sunday.

The figures marked a 25.7 percent rise in weight and 81 percent growth in value compared with the corresponding period past year.

Iran's exports to Russia stood at 212,606 tons worth 118.17 million dollars.

Iran mainly exported apples, fresh and frozen tomatoes, pistachio and kiwi to Russia during the six-month period.

The diversified Tata Group owns majority stakes in two airline joint ventures -- Vistara and AirAsia India.

Sources said Tata Sons is mulling purchasing stake in Jet Airways and that the plans are at a very early stage.

Tata Sons is the promoter of the major operating Tata companies.

BEIRUT, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Hezbollah Leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Friday that a progress regarding the cabinet formation in Lebanon is ongoing but a few obstacles still remain, local TV Channel Al Jadeed reported.

"There are still some problems related to the distribution of cabinet shares," said Nasrallah in a televised speech.

He denied allegations by some media outlets about Iran and Syria preventing government formation in Lebanon.
