2 Apr 2019; AFP: The head of NASA on Monday branded India's destruction of one of its satellites a "terrible thing" that had created 400 pieces of orbital debris and led to new dangers for astronauts aboard the International Space Station.

Jim Bridenstine was addressing employees of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration five days after India shot down a low-orbiting satellite in a missile test to prove it was among the world's advanced space powers.

WASHINGTON, April 1 (Xinhua) -- American researchers have developed a wearable device that can collect live cancer cells directly from blood in animals, according to a study published on Monday.

The study published in the journal Nature Communications reported the prototype that can help doctors diagnose and treat cancer more effectively in the future.

YUMA, Ariz. (AP) — Two Marine pilots have died in a helicopter crash during a training mission in southwestern Arizona, U.S. Marine Corps officials said Sunday.

The AH-1Z Viper crashed Saturday night while the pilots were conducting a training mission as part of a weapons and tactical instructor course, according to the Marine Corps. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Capt. Gabriel Adibe, a Marine Corps spokesman, said the helicopter crashed on the vast Marine Corps Air Station Yuma training grounds but no additional information was immediately available.

1 Apr 2019; DW: Nipsey Hussle, a 33-year-old Grammy-nominated rapper, was shot and killed in the US city of Los Angeles authorities said on Sunday.

Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, was highly respected among the hip-hop community and in south Los Angeles where he grew up.

DES MOINES, the United States, March 31 (Xinhua) -- It would be a timely piece of good news for American farmers if the United States and China could reach a deal to defuse bilateral trade tensions before the Spring planting season, a U.S. soybean farmer has said.

"We're gonna be starting to plant in mid-April, mid-May. So we hope that the decision is made (before that), and then that will help us, that would give us some time to make our adjustments where we wanted to," Rick Kimberley, president of Kimberley Farms Inc., told Xinhua in a recent interview.
