Egypt Condemns Deadly Israeli Raids On Occupied Palestinian Territories

CAIRO, Sept 21 (NNN-MENA) – Egypt condemned yesterday, the deadly Israeli raids on occupied Palestinian territories, the latest of which was in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank.

In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said, “Such attacks against the Palestinians and their properties, violate the rules of international law and Israel’s obligations as the occupying force.”

Ship with Ukrainian grain arrives off Türkiye's Bosphorus Strait via "humanitarian corridor"

ISTANBUL, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- The first cargo ship carrying Ukrainian grain arrived off Türkiye's Bosphorus Strait on Thursday using a temporary "humanitarian corridor."

The Ihlas news agency said the ship "Resilient Africa" anchored off the Sariyer district at the Black Sea entrance of the Bosphorus Strait.

The vessel will later pass through the strait, heading to Israel, according to the agency.

Ukraine announced in August a "humanitarian corridor" to allow grain shipment after Russia withdrew from a UN-brokered grain agreement.

Israeli FM says peace deal with Saudi Arabia possible by early 2024

JERUSALEM, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Israel's foreign minister said on Thursday that a normalization deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia could be completed by early 2024.

"I think there is certainly a likelihood that in the first quarter of 2024 ... we will be able to be at a point where the details (of an agreement) are finalized," Eli Cohen told Israel's Army Radio.

On Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud expressed hope for the normalization negotiations on separate occasions.

Iran Slams New U.S. Sanctions On Media Outlets

TEHRAN, Sept 20 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran yesterday criticised the United States for imposing new sanctions on Iranian individuals and entities, including media outlets, calling the move a “trite bid” to suppress transparency and truth.

Iranian government spokesman, Ali Bahadori Jahromi, said that, the sanctions demonstrate Washington’s “fear for the reality to be shown by truth-seeking and leading media.”

Jahromi also highlighted Washington’s double standards, pointing out that while the U.S. supports media aligned with its policies, it stifles independent voices.

Iran, U.S. Swap Prisoners Under Doha-Brokered Deal

TEHRAN/DOHA, Sept 19 (NNN-IRNA/QNA) – Iran and the United States, yesterday, conducted a much-anticipated prisoner swap, each releasing five detainees, Iranian and Qatari media reported.

Two released Iranians arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, yesterday, while three others were released in the U.S. under the deal brokered by Doha, Mizan news agency of Iran judiciary, reported.

Tunisia arrests 1,200 illegal immigrants over past 24 hours

TUNIS, Sept 19 (NNN-XINHUA) — During the past 24 hours, Tunisian security units arrested 1,200 of different nationalities who planned to cross illegally the Mediterranean to Europe, private radio station Mosaique FM reported on Monday.

“The arrest operations were carried out by National Guard units during a security campaign in the southeastern province of Sfax to stop the illegal immigration waves,” Mosaique FM quoted Houcemeddine Jbabli, spokesman for the Tunisian National Guard, as saying.

The Israeli Regime Demolishes Three Palestinian Houses In West Bank: Sources

RAMALLAH, Sept 19 (NNN-WAFA) – The Israeli regime demolished yesterday, three Palestinian houses in the West Bank, over building without permits, Palestinian sources said.

Two houses, including an inhabited one and one under construction, were demolished in the village of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus city in the West Bank, while the third house was located in Jericho city, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation.

Syria's Assad to travel to China for summit with Xi - presidency

DAMASCUS, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will travel to China this week for a bilateral summit with his Chinese counterpart, the presidency in Damascus said in a statement on Tuesday.

Assad, Syrian first lady Asmaa al-Assad and a senior delegation will travel to China on Thursday for a string of meetings in Beijing and Changzhou. Presidents Assad and Xi would hold a Syrian-Chinese summit, the statement said.
