Libya’s NOC declares force majeure after stoppage of port shipments

CAIRO, January 19. /TASS/: The National Oil Corporation (NOC) of Libya declared force majeure after termination of oil shipments from terminals, the company said on its website.

The management of NOC subsidiaries was instructed "to stop oil exports from Brega, Ras Lanuf, Hariga, Zueitina, and Sidra ports," the company said. NOC received instructions from the General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA).

"This will result in a loss of crude oil production of 800,000 barrels/day and daily financial losses of approximately $55 million per day," NOC said.

Russian military handed over food and staged concert for schoolchildren in Latakia

LATAKIA, January 19. /TASS/: Russian servicemen gave 350 food rations to children in the school of Magrith Settlement (Latakia Province) and a military orchestra performed national and foreign hits for schoolchildren and residents of the settlement, officer of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides in Syria Yuri Tretyak told reporters.

"An idea to stage the concert came up spontaneously. The orchestra already has such experience. We staged the previous event in Masyaf Settlement. I think this tradition will take root," Tretyak said.

Yemen's president says military needs to be on high alert following attack

ADEN (Reuters) - Yemen’s president told the military on Sunday it needs to be on high alert and ready for battle following an attack on Saturday by Iran-aligned Houthis on a military training camp in the city of Marib.

The attack “confirms without doubt that the Houthis have no desire for peace”, Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi said, in a statement on Yemen’s state news agency SABA.

The Houthis did not immediately claim responsibility for Saturday’s attack.

Iran To Send Black Box Of Crashed Plane To Ukraine

TEHRAN, Jan 19 (NNN-IRNA) – The black box of the passenger plane which crashed over Tehran’s airspace earlier this month, will be sent to Ukraine for reading of the data, an official in Iran’s Aviation Organisation, said.

“The black box cannot be read in Iran, and following request by the Ukrainians, it will be sent to Ukraine,” said Hassan Rezaeefar, director of Incident Investigation of Iran’s Aviation Organisation.

Israel to build anti-tunnel sensor network along Lebanon border

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel’s military announced on Sunday the start of construction of an underground network of sensors along the Lebanese frontier to detect any cross-border tunnel building.

The project is getting under way a year after the Israeli military said it had destroyed a series of infiltration tunnels dug by the Lebanese Hezbollah group.

“All the drilling is being done on the Israeli side of the blue line,” military spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Jonathan Conricus, referring to the border demarcation with Lebanon, said in a conference call with journalists.

Israeli Army Demolishes Palestinian School in Occupied West Bank

WEST BANK, Palestine, Jan 19 (NNN-WAFA) – Israeli forces today (yesterday), demolished the foundations of a new school in Southern West Bank, according to Rateb Jabour, a member of the National and Popular Committee, Resisting the Wall and Settlements.

Jabour said that, Israeli soldiers stormed the area and began to demolish the foundation of the building.

The school was being built between Yatta and Bani Naim, near the illegal Jewish Israeli settlement of Beni Hefer.
