Palestinians say Israeli troops kill man in West Bank

TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — Israeli forces killed a Palestinian man in a flashpoint city in the occupied West Bank on Monday, the Palestinian Health Ministry said. The killing marks the latest bloodshed in spiraling violence that comes as U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken visits the region.

The Israeli military had no immediate comment. The Palestinian Health Ministry said the man, Nassim Abu Fouda, 26, was shot in Hebron, often a center of clashes between the Israeli military and Palestinians.

Iran receives messages from nuclear deal parties through Qatar

Turkiye deports 139 Afghan migrants

29 Jan 2023; MEMO: A total of 139 Afghan migrants, who entered Turkiye illegally, were deported on Saturday, said the head of Turkiye's Migration Management Directorate, reports Anadolu Agency.

As part of the work carried out according to the Irregular Migration Strategy Document and the National Action Plan, migrants, who do not have valid documents to reside legally in Turkiye, are being sent to their home countries by charter flights.

A Palestinian gunman carried out a shooting attack near a synagogue in Neve Yaakov settlement Friday night, killing at least seven and injuring three others.

Police said the attacker was shot dead as he attempted to escape the scene on foot.

UAE: Iranian military factory hit by drone attack

DUBAI, Jan 29 (Reuters) - A loud explosion struck a military industry factory near the central Iranian city of Isfahan overnight in what Tehran said on Sunday was a drone strike by unidentified attackers.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast, which came amid tension with the West over Tehran's nuclear activity and supply of arms for Russia's war in Ukraine, as well as months of anti-government demonstrations at home.

Lebanon condemns deadly Israeli raid in N. West Bank

BEIRUT, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Lebanese foreign ministry on Sunday condemned the recent deadly Israeli raid in the Palestinian city of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

The ministry said it held "Israel fully responsible for the escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories ... and the Gaza Strip, and the repeated violation of the sanctity of the holy mosque" in Jerusalem.
