Qatar rejects Israeli demand for consulate during FIFA World Cup 2022

The Israeli government is said to have urged FIFA to put pressure on Doha for this to be allowed.

2 NGOs file complaint against Egypt for crimes against humanity and against France for complicity

13 Sep 2022; MEMO: Two NGOs have brought a case in France against Egyptian officials for crimes against humanity and against French officials for complicity.

The complaint follows an investigation by the NGO Disclose, which last year revealed a systematic bombing campaign against civilians suspected of smuggling in the Western Desert on the border with Libya.

Polisario warns Africa Eco Race not to pass through Sahara

13 Sep 2022; MEMO: The Polisario Front on Sunday called on the organisers of the Africa Eco Race not to allow the rally to pass through the Sahara.

The rally's organisers announced that the 2022 rally, scheduled for 15-30 October will cross the disputed Western Sahara region.

The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) urged the organisers of the rave not to cross their national territory, according to a statement reported by the Sahara Press Service.

Israel sells anti-drone system to Ukraine via Poland

According to the Hebrew news website, Zman Yisrael, a source in the firm said that the equipment was being sold to Poland to circumvent Israel's refusal to sell advanced arms to Ukraine.

Iran to sign agreement to join SCO at organization’s summit — MFA

TEHRAN, September 12. /TASS/: Iran will sign an agreement to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization at its upcoming summit, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said on Monday.

"The process of Iran's admission [to the organization] is coming to an end. At the upcoming meeting of the SCO, an agreement will be officially signed on Iran's obligations to obtain the status of a member of the organization," he was quoted as saying by the ministry’s press service.

Jordan Warned Against Decline In Int’l Support For Refugees In The Region

AMMAN, Sept 12 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan, yesterday, warned against the noticeable decline in international support, extended to refugees in the Middle East and the related UN institutions.

Palestinian Died Days After Being Shot In Northern West Bank: Medics

RAMALLAH, Sept 12 (NNN-WAFA) – A Palestinian man died, days after being shot, during an Israeli raid a few days ago, in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, Palestinian medics said yesterday.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said, in a press statement that, Hammad Abu Jelda, 24, succumbed to the critical wounds he sustained last Tuesday, during clashes with the Israeli soldiers, at the Jenin refugee camp in the city.

Abu Jelda was buried by dozens of Palestinian demonstrators, at the city’s cemetery, who chanted slogans calling for “revenging his death.”
