AMMAN, Oct 29 (NNN-PETRA/BNA) – Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, and visiting Bahraini Foreign Minister, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, yesterday stressed the importance of joint Arab action, to halt the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, according to a statement from the Jordanian Foreign Ministry.

35 Killed, 53 Injured In Multiple Vehicle Collisions In Egypt

CAIRO, Oct 29 (NNN-MENA) – At least 35 people were killed and 53 others injured, yesterday, in multiple vehicle collisions on a desert road, in Egypt’s Beheira governorate, state-run Ahram newspaper reported.

Security investigations showed the accident was caused by an oil leak from a car travelling on the Cairo-Alexandria desert road near Beheira, which led to many vehicles colliding with each other.

Egypt’s President, UN Chief Discuss Ways To Relieve Gaza Civilians Amid Israeli Siege

CAIRO, Oct 29 (NNN-MENA) – Egyptian President, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, received a phone call from United Nations (UN) Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, yesterday, during which they discussed ways to protect civilians of the Palestinian Gaza Strip, facing an ongoing Israeli siege and bombardment.

The talks focused on “the ongoing diplomatic efforts to stop the escalation in the Gaza Strip,” said the Egyptian presidency in a statement.

Israel: Musk says Starlink will provide Gaza connectivity for aid groups

JERUSALEM, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Elon Musk said on Saturday that SpaceX's Starlink will support communication links in Gaza with "internationally recognized aid organizations", prompting Israel's communication minister to say Israel would fight the move.

Musk said in a post on social media platform X that it was not clear who has authority for ground links in Gaza, but we do know that "no terminal has requested a connection in that area".

Israel: Netanyahu swipes at intel chiefs over Hamas, then apologizes

JERUSALEM, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday took a jab at his intelligence chiefs on the X platform, saying they never warned him Hamas was planning its wide-scale attack on Oct. 7, but later retracted his comments and issued an apology.

The remarks, posted on X at 1 a.m. on Sunday (around 2300 GMT on Saturday), caused a political uproar and a rift within the war cabinet of Netanyahu, who has drawn public ire for not taking responsibility over intelligence and operational failures relating to Hamas' rampage through southern Israel.

Israel: Gazans break into aid centres, taking flour and supplies, UN says

"This is a worrying sign that civil order is starting to break down after three weeks of war and a tight siege on Gaza," the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said in a statement.
