Northern Gaza Strip hospital refuses Israeli order to evacuate

14 October 2023; AA: Citing patients in serious condition and the continuing need for health care, medical teams at a hospital in the northern Gaza Strip are refusing the Israeli army’s order to evacuate, according to the hospital’s chief of medicine.

“I got a call from the Israeli army Friday asking us to evacuate the hospital,” Ahmed Muhanna of Al Awda Hospital in the city of Jabalia told Anadolu. “This is not possible.”

Plane lands in Egypt with much-need medical supplies for Gaza: WHO chief

14 October 2023; AA: The World Health Organization (WHO) on Saturday said that a plane with much-needed medical supplies for the people of the Gaza Strip had landed in Egypt.

"A plane with WHO medical supplies to support the urgent health needs in Gaza has landed in Al Arish, Egypt – close to the Rafah crossing," Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who heads the UN agency, said on X.

Iran’s foreign minister warns Israel that it could suffer ‘a huge earthquake’

BEIRUT (AP) — Iran’s foreign minister on Saturday called on Israel to stop its attacks on Gaza, warning that the war might expand to other parts of the Middle East if Hezbollah joins the battle, and that would make Israel suffer “a huge earthquake.”

Hossein Amirabdollahian told reporters in Beirut that Lebanon’s Hezbollah group has taken all the scenarios of a war into consideration and Israel should stop its attacks on Gaza as soon as possible.

Hamas launches longest-range missile attacking northern Israel

13 October 2023; MEMO: Hamas, on Friday, launched its longest-range missile reaching northern Israel before it was intercepted after sirens sounded in several northern areas, Anadolu Agency reports.

"A missile was launched from the Gaza Strip towards the northern region of the country" the Israeli army said in a statement. "Air defence fighters succeeded in intercepting the missile" it added.

Israel threatens to bomb Hospital in Gaza

14 October 2023; MEMO: The Israeli occupation army on Friday night warned that Al-Awdeh Hospital located in Jabaliya will be bombed, sending a warning notice for it to be evacuated.

According to the Palestine News and Information Agency (Wafa) correspondents in Gaza, the evacuation process is underway for patients and medical staff, and all patients will be transferred to the Indonesia Hospital.

Turkey’s Erdogan issues orders sending first humanitarian aid to Gaza

ANKARA, October 13. /TASS/: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has issued instructions to deliver the first batch of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip via Egypt.

Aircraft carrying humanitarian cargo have already flown out of Turkey, A Haber television said.

The humanitarian aid will reportedly be delivered via the Rafah crossing point between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.

Israeli shelling strikes Lebanese army post after infiltration warning

JERUSALEM, Oct 13 (Reuters) - Israeli shelling struck a Lebanese army observation post at the border on Friday, three sources in Lebanon told Reuters, after the Israeli military warned of a suspected armed infiltration that it said it was responding to with artillery fire.

Israel later ruled out that any incursion had occurred and residents of a village near the border, who had been instructed to hole up at home and lock doors and windows, were told they could again go outdoors.
