Unnao (UP), Apr 12 (PTI) BJP Unnao MP Sakshi Maharaj Friday told people that if they do not vote for him, they will face divine displeasure, prompting the police to lodge an FIR against the priest-turned-politician.

"If you ensure my victory, I will work for you, otherwise do 'bhajan-kirtan' in temple," he said at an election meeting at Sheshpur village in Sihramau area.

"I am a 'sanyasi'. When a 'sanyasi' comes to your door and asks for 'bhiksha' (alms), and is not heard, he takes away all the happiness of the family and transfers his sins onto them," he added.

Israeli army kills Gaza boy, wounds dozens in eastern Gaza

GAZA, April 12 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli army shot dead a Palestinian boy on Friday and wounded dozens during clashes with hundreds of Palestinian demonstrators in eastern Gaza Strip, close to the border with Israeli, according to medics.

Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the Health Ministry in the Hamas-ruled coastal enclave, told reporters that Maysara Abu Shaloof, 15 years old from Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza Strip, immediately died of an Israeli gunshot in his abdomen.

Al-Qedra added that 66 demonstrators were injured, including 15 children and two paramedics.

Hacker group posts hundreds of law officer records

BOSTON (AP) — A hacker group has posted online the personal information of hundreds of federal agents and police officers apparently stolen from websites affiliated with alumni of the FBI’s National Academy.

The Associated Press counted at least 1,400 unique records of employees of the FBI, Secret Service, Capital Police, and other federal agencies as well as police and sheriffs’ deputies in North Carolina and Florida.

The information appears to come from the websites of three local chapters of the FBI National Academy Associates, which claims 17,000 members nationwide.

China-Europe train services on the rise

ZHENGZHOU, April 13 (Xinhua) -- China-Europe trains made 234 trips departing from or arriving in the city of Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province, during the Jan.-March period, up 95 percent from last year.

The freight carried by the trains totalled 110,300 tonnes, with a value of 763 million U.S. dollars, up 56.6 percent and 12.1 percent, respectively, according to the customs of the city.

Chairman of Sudan's military council resigns, names successor

KHARTOUM, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Chairman of Sudan's transitional military council Awad Mohamed Ahmed Ibn Auf on Friday announced his resignation.

"I, chairman of the transitional military council, declare my resignation from this post," said Ibn Auf in a statement broadcast by official Sudan TV.

"I announce selection of Lt. Gen. Abdel-Fattah al-Burhan as chairman of the transitional military council," he added.

On Thursday, Sudan's Defense Minister Ibn Auf announced the ouster of President Omar al-Bashir and his government.

China, North Macedonia to cooperate on infrastructure
