MOSCOW (Reuters) - The Kremlin said on Monday that U.S. Democratic presidential challenger Joe Biden’s assessment of Russia as the biggest threat to U.S. national security was wrong and encouraged hatred of Russia.

The comments come just over a week before Biden faces Donald Trump in the Nov. 3 U.S. presidential election. Biden is ahead in the polls.

“We absolutely do not agree,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on a conference call, when asked to comment on Biden’s assessment.

24 Oct 2020; MEMO: Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister has said that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will not affect Moscow’s cooperation with Turkey in Syria. Sergey Vershinin dismissed concerns that the fighting in the southern Caucasus would break down relations between the two states.

Vershinin claimed that Turkey’s support for Azerbaijan did not have any effect on Russia’s collaboration with Ankara. The focus, he insisted, should be to work on a lasting ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Since September 1, more than 46,000 people have been brought to administrative liability. It means that some people are dodging obligatory use of face masks and gloves," he said.

"The Federal Security Service in Malokarachayevsky District of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic and in the cities of Makhachkala, Kaspiysk and Izberbash in the Republic of Dagestan foiled the activities of two cells of the At Takfir wal-Hijra international extremist religious organization (outlawed in Russia) with a total number of more than 20 people," it said.

MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/: Russia’s coronavirus cases grew by 17,340 in the past 24 hours, this is the highest number since the start of the pandemic. A total of 1,480,646 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 throughout the country, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Friday.

According to TASS calculations, the number of infected individuals in Russia has exceeded 1% of the population.

MOSCOW, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday praised Russia-China relations and expressed readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation.

"We have great trust in each other. We have managed to foster very sustainable, reliable, well-functioning ties in different domains and spheres," Putin said via a video conference at the 17th annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, a Russian think tank.
