International community shows rare unity on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict — Russian diplomat

MOSCOW, September 30. /TASS/: The international community has shown rare unity on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in an interview with TASS on Wednesday.

"Although the international community rarely manages to unite, but this time, to their credit, the heads of international organizations, the heads of state, politicians and public figures echo one another, in a good way," she pointed out.

MOSCOW, Sept 30 (NNN-TASS) – Russian President, Vladimir Putin, expressed concern over the conflicts in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, during a phone call with Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, the Kremlin said in a statement.

“Discussion of the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone was continued,” it said.

During the conversation, Putin expressed serious concern over the ongoing hostilities, underlining the urgent need for the opposing parties to stop the fight, and take measures to de-escalate the crisis.

Russia overcomes dependency on Ukraine, NATO for military products — Deputy PM

YALTA, September 29. /TASS/: Most products from Ukraine have already been replaced by domestic ones, the same is true for NATO countries' goods, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov told journalists Tuesday.

"As far as I understand, we are past all key stages as well as dependency on Ukrainian producers, meaning we have replaced all main solutions by domestic developments. As for replacement of NATO countries’ products, the key positions are secured," Borisov said.

RUSSIA: Engineering and development work for Ka-52M helicopter to be over in 2022

MOSCOW, September 29. /TASS/: Engineering and development work for an upgraded configuration of the combat helicopter Ka-52M will be completed in 2022, the CEO of the holding company Helicopters of Russia, (an affiliate of Rostec), Andrei Boginsky, told TASS.

"Currently, research and development is in progress in accordance with the terms of reference. The project will be finalized in 2022," he said.

RUSSIA: Putin intends to get inoculated against COVID-19

MOSCOW, September 29. /TASS/: Inoculation against the coronavirus is the step that allows to decrease the level of measures of Russian President’s epidemiologic protection, the Russian leader has already declared his intent to get vaccinated, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists.

"There are, of course, special precautions when it concerns the head of state. He has stated already that he is thinking about the vaccine," the spokesman said. He added that "in order to decrease the level of epidemiologic precaution measures, it is necessary to get inoculated."

Armenia ready to request military assistance from Russia, ambassador says

MOSCOW, September 28. /TASS/: Armenia is ready to request additional military assistance from Russia but sees no reason to do it at the moment, Armenian Ambassador to Moscow Vardan Toganyan told the Govorit Moskva radio station on Monday.

According to him, Yerevan and Moscow continue to boost defense cooperation. "We believe that should the need arise, we will request Russia [for additional military assistance]," the envoy pointed out. "As of today, we don’t think that we need additional troops or other forces," he added.
