Russia, India kick off joint multi-service force drills Indra-2019

MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/: The Russian-Indian multi-service force drills Indra-2019 kicked off in India, the press office of Russia’s Pacific Fleet reported on Wednesday.

"Today, an official ceremony was held at the Babina training range in the state of Uttar Pradesh (India) to open the Russian-Indian multi-service force exercise Indra-2019. The servicemen of the two countries also lined up at the port of Marmagao and at the Pune Air Force station to mark the beginning of the drills," the press office said in a statement.

Kremlin says premature to talk about thaw in Russia-US ties after Lavrov-Trump meeting

MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/: Tuesday’s meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov proved to be important but it is too early to speak about positive changes in Russia-US relations, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"Undoubtedly, it was important, the very fact that a Russian minister was received by the US president was important," he said, commenting on the meeting between Lavrov and Trump. "However, it is too early to speak about positive changes in bilateral relations," Peskov added.

Gazprom to continue talks with Ukraine in coming days

MOSCOW, December 10. /TASS/: Gazprom plans to continue negotiations with Ukraine on the gas issue in recent days, Chief Executive Officer of the Russian gas holding Alexei Miller told reporters on Tuesday.

"We will continue negotiations with the Ukrainian side in the bilateral format in coming days," Miller said.

Russia to test robot for radioactive waste disposal in early 2020

MOSCOW, December 9. / TASS /: A new anthropomorphic robot that will handle waste disposal in radioactive canyons will be tested in Russia in early 2020, said Android Technology Executive Director Evgeniy Dudorov on Monday.

"Now the robot is being manufactured. At the beginning of next year, testing will already take place," Dudorov said.
