Russian energy minister says cooperation with UAE on hydrocarbons is "promising"

MOSCOW, July 10. /TASS/: Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has discussed with CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber issues of bilateral cooperation in production of hydrocarbons and liquefied natural gas (LNG) and in geological exploration, the Russian Energy Ministry said on Thursday.

Novak said that energy cooperation between the two countries is developing and has a great potential. In particular, he noted that cooperation in the sphere of liquified natural gas is especially promising.

Military satellites launched from Plesetsk cosmodrome successfully delivered to orbit

MOSCOW, July 11. /TASS/: Four satellites launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome on Wednesday in the interests of the Russian Defense Ministry were delivered to the designated orbit, the ministry's press service said on Thursday.

"The Soyuz-2.1v carrier rocket launched on July 10 at 8:14pm Moscow time from the State Trial Cosmodrome Plesetsk (Arkhangelsk region), has successfully delivered the Russian Defense Ministry's spacecraft to the designated orbit," the press service said.

Russian Emergencies Ministry evacuates over 30 children from Iraq

MOSCOW, July 10. /TASS/: A Russian Emergencies Ministry aircraft has evacuated over 30 children of Russian citizens held in a prison in Iraq's Baghdad, the ministry’s press service told TASS on Wednesday.

"A special Il-76 flight belonging to the Russian Emergencies Ministry has arrived from Baghdad to Ramenskoye Airport in the Moscow Region with 33 children of Russian citizens that found themselves in the armed conflict zone," the ministry stated.

Cosmonaut Padalka joins crew attempting record-breaking polar circumnavigation

TASS, July 10. Russian Air Force officer and Roscosmos cosmonaut Gennady Padalka has joined the crew of the Gulfstream G650ER jet, attempting to achieve a record-breaking fastest polar circumnavigation, organizers of the One More Orbit flight wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.

Padalka got on board of the jet in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan during the jet’s refuel stopover. The organizers pointed out that it took 27 minutes, 18 minutes less than planned.

Kremlin says too early to speak about resuming flights to Georgia

MOSCOW, July 10. /TASS/: It’s early now to speak about resuming flights to Georgia, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday, noting that the situation would be monitored.

"The restrictions on flights, the flight ban is an absolutely forced measure, and consequently, the situation will be constantly monitored. As soon as the signs emerge that the situation has normalized for Russian tourists after such Russophobic manifestations, time will come for analyzing this and taking other decisions. "On July 4, the Basmanny Court upheld a request by investigative bodies to impose arrest on financial assets belonging to defendant Mikhail Abyzov, amounting to 121.7 million euro, placed into banking institutions," the spokeswoman said.
