BEIJING, July 28 (APP): The health ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have advocated for collective efforts of the SCO member states to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Russian Healthcare Minister Mikhail Murashko chaired the third meeting of Health Ministers of the SCO Member States held via video conference, according to a statement issued by SCO Secretariat here.

BEIJING (Reuters) - China’s foreign ministry said on Tuesday that Hong Kong’s government would suspend agreements on mutual assistance for criminal matters, including extradition, with Britain, Canada and Australia.

Some WeChat users in India saw their services affected as many reported they were unable to send and receive messages, and their accounts were logged out automatically from the platform, Global Times reported on Monday.

CHENGDU, China (AP) — Chinese authorities took control of the former U.S. consulate in the southwestern Chinese city of Chengdu on Monday after it was ordered closed amid rising tensions between the global powers.

China ordered the mission to be shut in retaliation for a U.S. order to close the Chinese Consulate in Houston.

The tit-for-tat closings marked a significant escalation in the multiple disputes between the countries over issues ranging from trade and technology to national security, human rights, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
