Palestine: Hamas will not release Israel captives without 'honourable swap'

18 Jan 2023; MEMO: Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, stressed on Tuesday that its military wing Al-Qassam Brigades "will not release Israeli captives without an honourable swap".

In a statement, Hamas spokesman, Hazem Qasem, said: "Palestinian Resistance is able to release out prisoners. It has previously proved that and proved its creative ability to use different tools and means."

Palestine: Al-Aqsa Mosque director detained and searched by Israeli occupation forces when entering sanctuary

18 Jan 2023; MEMO: Israeli occupation forces detained the director of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday as he entered the Noble Sanctuary. Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani was then searched, Wafa has reported.

Last week, the Israeli occupation forces delayed the British Minister for the Middle East, Lord Tariq Ahmed, for more than half an hour while he was visiting Al-Aqsa.

Lord Ahmed, who is a Muslim, was subjected to a prolonged security check at the Lions Gate, which is known in Arabic as Bab Al-Asbat.

Palestine Accused Israeli Authorities Of Humiliating Its FM

RAMALLAH, Jan 17 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestine, yesterday, accused the Israeli authorities of humiliating its Foreign Minister, Riyad Al-Maliki, on his way to Cairo, according to an official statement.

Ahmad Al-Deek, political advisor of Al-Maliki, said in a press statement that, the Israeli authorities subjected Al-Maliki to “procedures and restrictions,” while he was going through the crossing point on the border with Jordan, as he left the West Bank for Cairo.

Israel occupation forces bulldoze Greek Orthodox land in occupied Jerusalem

16 Jan 2023; MEMO: The Israeli occupation authorities yesterday started to bulldoze a 5,000 square metre plot of land owned by the Greek Orthodox Church in occupied Jerusalem's Silwan neighbourhood, the Wadi Hilweh Information Centre has reported. The operators of the bulldozers were protected by a large number of Israeli occupation security forces and police.

Palestine factions condemn daily Israeli execution of Palestinians

16 Jan 2023; MEMO: Palestinian factions condemned, on Sunday, daily Israeli execution of Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, in separate statements issued following the execution of a Palestinian man near Ramallah.

Eyewitnesses reported by Wafa news agency said that Israeli Occupation Forces in the town of Silwad, near the West Bank city of Ramallah, forced the Palestinian man, Ahmad Kahla, 45, out of his car and shot him.

Jewish extremists write hate slogans on Church wall in Jerusalem

13 Jan 2023; MEMO: Jewish extremists have written racist slurs in Hebrew on the wall of the Armenian Church in Occupied East Jerusalem, Anadolu News Agency reports.

The incident took place late Thursday, the High Presidency Committee of Churches of the Palestinian Authority said.

13 Jan 2023; MEMO: Palestinians are urging all countries and institutions across the world to boycott the new Israeli government and stand-up to the unilateral steps being taken which could undermine the two-state solution.

The Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Ibrahim Khreisheh, told the official Voice of Palestine radio that meetings were held with the concerned authorities in Switzerland to brief them on the Israeli government's extreme actions.
