27 Dec 2022; MEMO: Israel's occupation authorities have stepped up pressure on Palestinians from the West Bank who move to Gaza to sign a pledge to not return to their homes, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz has revealed.

27 Dec 2022; MEMO: More than 600 Palestinian children were kept by Israeli courts under house arrest in 2022, the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said on Tuesday.

In a statement, the Commission said that the Israeli occupation authorities resort to house arrest in occupied East Jerusalem as a form of punishment for children under the age of 14 because Israeli law does not permit their imprisonment.

RAMALLAH, Dec 26 (NNN-WAFA) – Dozens of Palestinians participated in a vigil yesterday, in the West Bank city of Ramallah, demanding the return of bodies of Palestinians killed in conflicts by Israeli soldiers.

The Palestinian national campaign organised the protest to bring back Palestinian corpses, which Israel has kept for years. The participants, waving Palestinian flags and pictures of the dead, chanted: “We want our children.”

RAMALLAH, Dec 26 (NNN-WAFA) – A senior Palestinian official said yesterday that, the new Israeli government, formed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently, is replacing peace and the two-state solution with annexation and settlement.

Ahmad Majdalani, a member of the Palestine Liberation Organisation executive committee, told “Voice of Palestine” that, the peace process and the option of the two-state solution “are no longer on the agenda of the new Israeli government.”

26 Dec 2022; MEMO: Saleh Raafat, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) called on Sunday for an international boycott of the new Israeli government to force it to accept international legitimacy.

Speaking to Palestine Voice, Saleh said that the agreements among the parties taking part in the new Israeli coalition government "are based on apartheid and discrimination."

23 Dec 2022; MEMO: As pilgrims from around the world flock to Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Nazareth for Christmas, members of Gaza's Christian community wait to hear whether Israel will grant them a travel permit, Reuters reported.

This year, Israeli authorities have approved travel for nearly 600 Palestinian Christians in Gaza, according to COGAT, a unit in Israel's defence ministry that coordinates civilian issues with Palestinians.

22 Dec 2022; MEMO: Just days after the FIFA World Cup during which the issue of Palestine featured prominently, Israeli occupation forces have today shot dead a Palestinian footballer and wounded at least 24 other people in Nablus. Local sources said that Ahmad Atef Daraghma, 23, from the northern West Bank city of Tubas, played for the Thaqafi football club in Tulkarem and was hit by live rounds in the back and feet.

22 Dec 2022; MEMO: Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh has called on the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) to condemn the Israeli killing of a Palestinian footballer, Wafa has reported. Ahmad Atef Mustafa Daraghma, 23, was shot and killed during an Israeli army raid in Nablus.

RAMALLAH, Dec 21 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, yesterday announced that, a broad campaign to provide international protection for “the defenseless Palestinian people is about to be launched.”

Abbas made the remarks, during a joint meeting of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) executive committee, and his Fatah movement’s central committee that he chaired, the official Palestinian news agency reported.
