Students were also agitating over the point of throwing off the chair. They rejected that the chair was thrown off. It has no substance. It was a complete lie. 

Pakistan opting all possible options to stop Modi’s cruelty in IOK: Fawad

PM asks Pakistanis to come out on roads to show solidarity with Kashmiris on Friday

Pakistan says it test fired nuclear-capable missile

Islamabad, Aug 29, IRNA -- Pakistan army says it has test fired a 290 km range nuclear-capable ballistic missile to maintain a minimum deterrence level in the subcontinent.

Earlier a report published by a US think-tank had warned that the specter of nuclear war haunts tensions between India and Pakistan, and the disputed territory of Kashmir could provide the spark that lights South Asia’s nuclear fuse.

Pakistan: No decision yet on airspace closure to India

Islamabad, Aug 29 (PTI) Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that no decision has been taken yet to close the airspace to India, underlining that any such step would be taken after looking into each and every aspect of the move through consultation.

Qureshi dismissed as speculative reports suggesting that the airspace was being shut for India, the Dawn reported.

Normal life remains disrupted in Kashmir Valley

Srinagar, Aug 29 (PTI) Normal life remained disrupted across the Kashmir Valley for the 25th consecutive day on Thursday, with markets closed and public transport off the roads.

However, some private vehicles could be seen plying in many parts of the city while some roadside vendors also plied their trade, officials said.

The efforts of the state government to open schools up to high school level have not borne fruit as parents continued to keep the children at home due to apprehensions about their safety.

India: Top Maoist leader, jawan killed in gun battle in Odisha

Malkangiri/Bhubaneswar, Aug 28 (PTI) A DVF jawan and a top Maoist leader were killed in a gun battle in a forest in Odisha's Malkangiri district on Wednesday, a senior police officer said.

Another jawan was also critically injured in the encounter that took place during a joint combing operation by Special Operation Group (SOG) and District Voluntary Force (DVF), the Director General of Police (DGP), B K Sharma, said.

India: Cabinet clears Rs 6,268-cr sugar export subsidy

New Delhi, Aug 28 (PTI) The government on Wednesday announced a Rs 6,268 crore subsidy for export of 6 million tonnes of sugar during the 2019-20 marketing year starting October in order to liquidate surplus domestic stock and help mills in clearing huge sugarcane arrears to farmers.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
