India: US Prez's visit: Forth cargo plane lands at Ahd airport

Ahmedabad, Feb 22 (PTI) Another cargo plane of the US Air Force landed at the Ahmedabad international airport on Saturday ahead of the February 24 visit of US President Donald Trump to the city.

The C-17 Globemaster cargo plane, fourth in the last few days, carried security equipment and a special vehicle that is likely to be part of Trump's convoy, sources said.

France says ‘not sure’ EU-UK trade deal possible before end of 2020

PARIS, Feb 23 (NNN-AGENCIES) — French President Emmanuel Macron said he was “not sure” it would be possible for the European Union and Britain to reach a trade deal by the end of the year.

Britain and the EU are about to embark on negotiations aiming to hammer out a trade agreement by the time the post-Brexit transition period shuts at the end of December.

But France has made clear it thinks the negotiations will be particularly difficult, especially in such a tight timeframe.

Argentina, IMF say their talks on new debt agreement “fruitful”

BUENOS AIRES, Feb 23 (NNN-Xinhua) — Argentina and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced that progress has been made in their talks about a new agreement to address the South American country’s debt.

The Saturday announcement came after a meeting between Argentine Economy Minister Martin Guzman and IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on the sidelines of a G20 meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

APEC Senior Officials Wrap Up Meeting On Key Topics

India: Around 3,000 tonne gold deposits found in UP's Sonbhadra

Sonbhadra (UP) Feb 21 (PTI) The Geological Survey of India (GSI) has discovered gold deposits to the tune of around 3,000 tonnes in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh, almost five times India's current reserve of the yellow metal, officials said on Friday.

The gold deposits were found in Son Pahadi and Hardi areas here, district mining officer K K Rai said.

Saudi Arabia To Invest 110 Billion USD In Development Of Al-Jafoura Gas Field

RIYADH, Feb 22 (NNN-SPA) – Saudi Arabia announced the development of the Al-Jafoura gas field, with an investment of 110 billion U.S. dollars.

The plan was reviewed in a meeting, chaired by Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

As the largest non-conventional and non-associate gas field in Saudi Arabia, the giant Al-Jafoura field, located in the kingdom’s eastern region, is expected to measure 170 km in length and 100 km in width, and contain an estimated 200 trillion cubic feet of wet gas.

Israel, Palestinian Authority agree to end trade dispute

JERUSALEM/RAMALLAH, Feb 21 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA) have reached an agreement to end a five-month long trade dispute, officials said.

The dispute, which opened a new front in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, began in September when the PA announced a boycott of Israel calves. The Authority exercises limited self-rule in the occupied West Bank under interim peace deals.
