Israeli settlers assault 3 Palestinian children in occupied Hebron

3 Oct 2019; MEMO: A group of settlers beat three children in front of their house in Tel Rumeida near the illegal settlement of Ramat Yeshai in occupied Hebron on Tuesday.

Local sources said: “The group of settlers severely assaulted the three sons of the Tayseer Abu Eisha, who are between the ages of 11 and 13.”

Growing ‘resentment’ against Saudi crown prince in royal circles

Ahead of pilgrimage, Iran border crossing closed due to Iraq unrest

DUBAI (Reuters) - A border crossing between Iran and Iraq, which is due to be used by hundreds of thousands of Shi’ite Muslim worshippers at an annual pilgrimage this month, has been closed because of unrest in Iraq, Iranian state television reported on Thursday.

A senior Iranian pilgrimage official told state television that the Khosravi border crossing was closed, but other crossings were open ahead of the pilgrimage in the southern Iraqi city of Kerbala.

The state news agency IRNA said the Chazabeh crossing, which had been closed late on Wednesday, had reopened.

Iraq: Baghdad seals off Green Zone after protests – government source

BAGHDAD, Oct 3 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Iraqi authorities sealed off the central Green Zone just four months after its celebrated opening, a government source said in response to widespread protests in the capital.

Security forces and military vehicles have been deployed around the area, which hosts government offices and embassies, “until further notice”, the source said.

The Green Zone had been inaccessible for most Iraqis since the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq but had reopened to the public in June.

Turkey says Syria 'safe zone' efforts are not yielding results

ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkey does not think its effort with the United States to form a “safe zone” in northeast Syria will yield the results it wants and is ready to carry out a military operation, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu was quoted as saying on Thursday.

Ankara and NATO ally Washington have agreed to establish a zone on the Syrian border that Turkey wants to be 30 km deep and cleared of the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia, which it sees as a terrorist organization.

First Arab on ISS set for Earth return

Curfew, more tear gas in Baghdad after 2 days of violence

BAGHDAD (AP) — Iraqi security forces used tear gas against a few hundred protesters gathered in central Baghdad on Thursday, hours after a curfew was announced in the Iraqi capital on the heels of two days of deadly violence that gripped the country amid anti-government protests.

Before dawn, explosions were heard inside Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone, home to government offices and foreign embassies. The U.S.-led coalition said an investigation is underway, adding that no coalition forces or assets were hit.

Saudi Arabia understands India's approach and actions in Kashmir
