Israel: Former PM Ehud Olmert urges world leaders to boycott Netanyahu

18 Mar 2023; MEMO: Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has called on world leaders to boycott current Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu due to pushing ahead with the judicial overhaul.

Israeli media reported that this rare call for international intervention in Israel's affairs came amidst protests from tens of thousands of Israelis against the planned judicial overhaul.

UAE provides $3m to rebuild Palestinian town after Israel settler raid

17 Mar 2023; MEMO: President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has ordered the provision of $3 million to support the reconstruction of the Palestinian town of Huwara in the occupied West Bank after it was raided by illegal Israeli settlers.

Saudi Arabia’s Banking Assets Reached Nearly 1,000 Billion USD In 2022

RIYADH, Mar 17 (NNN-SPA) – Saudi Arabia’s finance minister, announced that, the kingdom’s banking assets have reached 3.6 trillion Saudi Riyals (about 959 billion U.S. dollars) by the end of 2022.

Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan said that, since 2019, the banking assets have increased by 37 percent.

The minister added that, the number of financial technology companies in the country has risen from 20 in 2019, to 147 in 2022.

Israel kills 4 Palestinians in latest raid on Jenin

17 Mar 2023; MEMO: Four Palestinians were shot dead by the Israeli occupation army in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has said. It added that a 16-year-old boy was among the dead. A further 20 Palestinians were injured in the raid. Witnesses said that Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Jenin and opened fire on two Palestinians.

Israel blocks Borrell visit to Palestine in response to EU criticism

16 Mar 2023; MEMO: Israel has reacted to European criticism by blocking the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, from making an official visit to the occupation state and the Palestinian Authority. "There's no reason to reward him [Borrell] for his conduct," said Israel in a fit of pique.

Israelis continue anti-government rallies on day of 'escalating resistance'

17 Mar 2023; MEMO: Thousands of Israelis, on Thursday, are expected to join the anti-government rallies across Israel, protesting government plans to inflict radical changes on Israel's judicial authority structure, Anadolu News Agency reports.

Thursday's rallies were held under the banner of "escalating resistance" with the main rally taking place in central Tel Aviv city.

Israel, UAE companies sign cyberattack protection deal

16 Mar 2023; MEMO: An Israeli security company signed a deal yesterday with United Arab Emirates (UAE)'s telecom operator Etisalat to protect its business from cyberattacks.

According to the Times of Israel, Cyberint Technologies Ltd's platform can track cybercriminals and provide real-time threat intelligence through the constant analysis of hundreds of millions of data points and ongoing monitoring of external risk exposure.
