Israel grants Energean permission to start production at offshore Karish gas field

25 October 2022; MEMO: Israel granted Energean permission to start production at the offshore Karish gas field on Tuesday, an Energy Ministry statement said, Reuters reports.

Energean has said its floating production storage and the off-loading vessel are due to start production at Karish in the third quarter but has not given a precise date.

On 9 October, the London-listed energy group began pumping gas to its floating production facility as part of reverse flow testing procedures.

The money is needed to assist more than 160,000 people with health services and 5 million with water, sanitation and assistance hygiene.

Tunisia president calls for int'l cooperation to confront rising irregular migration

26 October 2022; MEMO: Tunisian President Kais Saied yesterday called for international cooperation to confront the increasing rate of irregular migration from his country, stressing that no local solutions can be found for this phenomenon.

Since the beginning of the year, the phenomenon of irregular migration has been growing in Tunisia due to the economic and social crisis, in addition to similar situations and wars in other African countries.

Israel missile attack targets areas around Damascus

According to the Financial Times newspaper, 62-year-old Fergus MacLeod – Head of Investor Relations at the world's largest oil export company – was arrested by Indian authorities on 12 July while staying at his hotel in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand in the Himalayas, close to the border with China.

Yemeni Gov’t Forces Destroyed 1,558 Kg Of Hashish Seized In Border Area

HAJJAH, Yemen, Oct 25 (NNN-YPA) – Yemen’s government forces, yesterday, burned 1,558 kg of hashish, seized from smugglers in the past seven months, in the north-western province of Hajjah, a security official said.

The destruction was carried out in the government-controlled city of Midi, in the presence of representatives of court, public prosecution, and security services.
