Egypt Announces New Round Of Tripartite Negotiations On Nile Dam

CAIRO, Oct 24 (NNN-MENA) – The Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, announced yesterday, the launch of a new tripartite round of ministerial negotiations on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

In a statement, the ministry said, the new round kicked off in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, yesterday morning, with the participation of delegations from Egypt, Sudan, and Ethiopia.

France: Macron proposes that anti-Islamic State coalition fight Hamas

JERUSALEM, Oct 24 (Reuters) - French President Emmanuel Macron proposed on Tuesday that an international coalition fighting against Islamic State in Iraq and Syria be widened to include the fight against the Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza.

Macron gave no detail on how the U.S.-led coalition of dozens of countries, of which Israel is not a member, could be involved.

Speaking alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem, Macron stressed that France and Israel shared terrorism as their "common enemy".

Iran's president urges solidarity, int'l measures to support Gaza

Egypt: Hamas expresses readiness for Israeli ground operation in Gaza

CAIRO, October 23. /TASS/: Hamas is ready to confront Israeli forces if they launch a ground operation in the Gaza Strip, said the Palestinian radical group’s spokesman Abdel-Latif al-Qanoua.

"[The Palestinian] resistance has unity and strength, as it can control combat operations and has a high level of readiness to resist any ground aggression in Gaza," al-Qanoua said in a statement, posted on Hamas’ Telegram channel.

Israeli Regime Says Tank “Accidentally” Strikes Egyptian Post

JERUSALEM, Oct 23 (NNN-MA’AN) – An Israeli tank, “accidentally” fired and hit an Egyptian military post yesterday, the regime Defence Forces (IDF), said in a statement.

The Egyptian post is located in the area of Kerem Shalom, near the Israel-Egypt border and southern Gaza Strip, amid heavy fighting between Israel and Hamas.

There were no immediate reports of casualties.

“The incident is being investigated and the details are under review,” the regime military said. The military also expressed “sorrow regarding the incident.”
