New Delhi, Oct 30 (PTI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday described Jammu and Kashmir as the pride of every Indian, and said that it is time to leave behind the old challenges and take full benefit of new possibilities.

Addressing the Jammu and Kashmir Rozgar Mela through video conferencing, he also said that there is a need to work with a new approach and new thinking for fast-paced development.

“We are committed to taking benefits of development equally to all sections and citizens," Modi said.

28 October 2022; MEMO: Saudi Foreign Minister, Faisal Bin Farhan, and his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, met yesterday to discuss strengthening mutual relations.

The official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the two ministers had signed a cooperation agreement between the two countries. Their meeting has come on the occasion of the fourth edition of the Political and Foreign Affairs Committee under the China-Saudi High-Level Joint Committee.

26 October 2022; MEMO: Qatar-based beIN, a sports broadcaster that was banned in Saudi Arabia until last year, said on Wednesday it had chosen a Saudi firm as its exclusive advertising partner in the Middle East and North Africa in a deal that a source put at some $150 million, Reuters reports.

BeIN Sports said in a statement it had signed an agreement with Riyadh-based media representation firm, SMC MC, for all its channels and including coverage of the World Cup, of which Qatar is the 2022 host.

27 October 2022; MEMO: Turkiye's competition authority yesterday imposed fines of 346.72 million lira ($18.63 million) on Meta platforms, formerly known as Facebook, for its violation of the country's competition law, news agencies reported.

In a statement, the Turkish Competition Board said it found that Meta obstructed its competitors operating in social network services and online advertising markets as it merged data collected through Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

27 October 2022; MEMO: Saudi Airlines has become the first in the Middle East and North Africa to invest in sustainable air transport, with plans to purchase 100 fully electric aircraft from Germany's Liliam.

The company signed a memorandum of understanding with Liliam, with the aim of developing and operating the proposed eVTOL system, an all-electric vertical take-off and landing system, throughout the kingdom.
