Russia reports over 26,600 coronavirus cases in the past day

MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/: Russia’s coronavirus cases rose by 26,683 in the past day to 2,269,316, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Sunday.

A day earlier the crisis center reported 27,100 new cases.

Moscow confirmed 6,798 new COVID-19 cases and the total case tally in the Russian capital reached 599,213. St. Petersburg reported 3,701 new coronavirus cases, and another 1,069 cases were recorded in the Moscow Region, 471 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 414 in the Karelia Republic and 381 in the Sverdlovsk Region.

Over 1.1 mln people fined in Russia over COVID-19 restrictions’ violations

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/: Russian law enforcement have fined over 1.1 million people since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic over violations of the coronavirus-related restrictions, Russian ministry of the Interior reported. This is the first time such statistics were made public.

Russia declares protest to US over violation of Russia’s maritime border by US destroyer

MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/: Moscow declares strong protest to Washington over a US destroyer’s entering into Russian territorial waters on November 24 and considers this incident as a provocation geared to break down peace, the Russian foreign ministry said on Friday.

"The Russian foreign ministry declares strong protest over this incident. We consider it as a blatant provocation geared to break down peace and good order," the ministry said.

Russia reports 27,100 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours - crisis center

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/: Russia’s coronavirus cases grew by 27,100 in the past 24 hours reaching 2,242,633, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Saturday.

According to the crisis center, the growth rate dropped from 1.3% to 1.2%.

The lowest daily growth rates were recorded in the Nenets autonomous region (0.3%), Dagestan, the Khanty-Mansi autonomous region (0.6% each), the Karachay-Cherkess region, Kabardino-Balkaria and the Mari El republic (0.7% each).

MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/: Russian President Vladimir Putin maintains intense dialogue with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday, commenting on Pashinyan’s words about two phone calls with Putin.

"We don’t issue official statements on every international telephone conversation that the president holds," Peskov pointed out.

Latest patrol ship accepted for service in Russia’s Black Sea Fleet

SEVASTOPOL, November 27. /TASS/: The Project 22160 latest patrol vessel Pavel Derzhavin has entered service with Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, the Fleet’s press office reported on Friday.

"An official ceremony was held at the Black Sea Fleet’s Novorossiysk naval base to accept the new patrol ship Pavel Derzhavin into the Fleet’s structure. Black Sea Fleet Deputy Commander Vice-Admiral Sergei Lipilin congratulated the first crew of the new ship on the commencement of its service in the Russian Navy," the press office said in a statement.

MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/: Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold his annual press conference via video link on December 17, the Kremlin press service said in a statement on Friday.

"At noon on November 29, the Russian Presidential Media and Information Department will begin accrediting journalists for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s annual news conference set to take place on December 17, 2020," the statement reads.
