MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/: Tehran and Riyadh don’t need any mediation in the issues concerning bilateral relations, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his interview with RT Arabic, Al Arabiya and Sky News Arabia TV channels on Sunday.

"The role of mediator is not a rewarding one. I believe that our partners in Iran and Saudi Arabia do not need any mediation," Putin said in the interview answering a question whether Moscow could become a mediator at talks between Tehran and Riyadh.

MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/: Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that it’s time to return Syria to the Arab family, the League of Arab States, he said in his interview with RT Arabic, Al Arabiya and Sky News Arabia TV channels on Sunday.

"It is time to get Syria back into the Arab family, to re-instate it in the Arab League," the Russian leader said. Putin recalled that Syria was Russia’s friendly state in the Arab world. He also stressed that the Middle East was not in a state of stability.

“All forces deployed illegitimately inside any sovereign state – in this case Syria – must leave,” Putin told Russian news channel RT, British Sky News and Saudi-funded channel, Al-Arabiya.

Russia will pull its troops out of Syria as well, if Damascus does not need Moscow’s help anymore, Putin was quoted by RT as saying.

MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/: Two Russian nationals killed in an Antonov An-72 aircraft crash in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) were pilots, Spokesperson for the Russian embassy in the country Natalya Kononova told TASS.

According to her, the bodies haven’t been found yet as the plane crashed in a hard-to-reach area.

The aircraft, en route from the city of Goma to Kinshasa, crashed on Friday. There were four crew members, several military officers and civilians onboard, including DRC presidential administration personnel.

"If someone thinks that actions such as tanker detentions and attacks on oil facilities will somehow influence Russia’s cooperation with our Arab friends, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, or damage OPEC+ cooperation, they are wrong," Putin pointed out.

"Those who are illegally present in a foreign country - in this case, in Syria - should leave the region. It concerns all countries," Putin emphasized. "If Syria’s future legitimate government says that it doesn’t need Russian troop to remain in the country, it will also concern Russia," he added.
