US Military Relocated 40 Daesh Terrorists From Prisons To Base In Northeastern Syria: Reports

DAMASCUS, Aug 9 (NNN-SANA) – US military have transported 40 terrorists of the Daesh terrorist group from prisons, to its base in the northeastern province of Al-Hasakah, Syrian state media reported.

According to the SANA news agency, the terrorists were sent from the prisons of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to the US base in the city of Ash Shaddadi.

ICMELER, Turkey, Aug 9 (Reuters) - Until devastated by wildfires, hills near the Turkish sea resort of Marmaris were decked in thick green pine forest. Now these same hills form a ghostly, grey-brown landscape topped with blackened tree stumps as though sketched in charcoal.

Drone footage from the small tourist seaside town of Icmeler near Marmaris from before and after what President Tayyip Erdogan has called Turkey's worst wildfires shows the extent of the devastation.

Iran, Brazil to expand mining cooperation: Official

Tehran, IRNA – The head of Iran Mine House said that Iran and Brazil have great capacities to expand cooperation in mining field, especially in investment and equipment.

Mohammad Reza Bahraman told IRNA’s economic correspondent that a Brazilian delegation has recently visited Iran and discussed cooperation capacities with Iranian officials.

President directs all existing capacities to contain coronavirus

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi ordered the health minister to leverage all existing capacities in the country to contain the recent surge in the coronavirus spread.

Raisi told health minister and Khorasan Razavi Province governor-general in separate telephone calls to pursue the condition of coronavirus patients in the country and in Khorasan Razavi Province.

He underlined that all capacities in the country be deployed to acceleration containment of the spread of the virus and treatment of all patients and gave required orders.

New microbialites discovered in eastern Turkey

09 Aug 2021; MEMO: New microbialites different in structure and shape compared to previous discoveries have been found on the shore of Turkey’s eastern Lake Van.

The microbialites were photographed by Cumali Birol, head of the culture, art, and tourism association of the town of Adilcevaz, which lies on the edge of Lake Van, and Ali Ethem Keskin, a diver and documentary filmmaker.

Turkey: All forest fires brought under control except 2

09 Aug 2021; AA: Turkey has brought under control all forest fires, except blazes in the Milas and Koycegiz districts of the country’s southwestern Mugla province, said the minister of agriculture and forestry on Monday.

“#ForestHeroes continue their work with great devotion from land and air in Milas and Koycegiz,” Bekir Pakdemirli said on Twitter.

Israel renewed detention orders for 70% of Palestinian detainees: Report

09 Aug 2021; MEMO: Israeli occupation authorities have renewed detention orders for 70 per cent of the Palestinian administrative detainees held in Israeli jails, Al-Ayyam newspaper reported yesterday.

Reporting on details released by the Palestine Centre for Prisoners Studies, Al-Ayyam said that the detention orders were renewed for periods of between two and six months.
