Iran: Israel root cause of all troubles in Middle East: Foreign Minister

15 Dec 2021; MEMO: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has said that Israel is the root cause of all the problems affecting the Middle East, PressTV has reported. Abdollahian also took aim at the few Arab states that have normalised relations with the occupation state for going against the interests of the Muslim Ummah.

Kolkata, Dec 15 (PTI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday asserted that the Trinamool Congress will defeat the BJP in the next Lok Sabha polls due in 2024, and claimed that the saffron party would face similar drubbing that it had tasted in the last assembly polls in the state.

Israel to donate 1 million COVID vaccines to African nations

JERUSALEM (AP) — The Israeli government on Wednesday said it was donating 1 million coronavirus vaccines to the U.N.-backed COVAX program.

The Foreign Ministry said the AstraZeneca vaccines would be transferred in the coming weeks, a decision that was part of Israel’s strengthening ties with the African countries.

“I am delighted that Israel can contribute and be a partner in eradicating the pandemic around the world,” said Foreign Minister Yair Lapid.

A wide range of US and Palestinian Authority (PA) officials and agencies attended the meeting, which was held virtually. "They discuss[ed] current and future areas of economic cooperation," the statement said.

Israel: Washington is "obsessed" about illegal Jewish settlements

15 Dec 2021; MEMO: Several Israeli officials have claimed that the Biden administration in Washington is "obsessed" about illegal Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank on a par with Iran's nuclear programme, the Jerusalem Post reported on Tuesday. "The Americans bring up 'settler violence' all the time, obsessively," said one diplomat.
