Uzbekistan Plans To Allocate Almost Two Billion USD To Healthcare System In 2021

TASHKENT, Oct 20 (NNN-AGENCIES) – Uzbekistan is planning to allocate 1.9 billion U.S. dollars, to the healthcare system in 2021, amid the raging COVID-19 pandemic, president’s press service said today.

During a government meeting, to discuss the parameters of the state budget for 2021, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, stressed the need to take into account the ongoing pandemic and the decline of global economic activity, said the press service.

Indonesia rejected U.S. request to host spy planes - officials

JAKARTA (Reuters) - Indonesia rejected this year a proposal by the United States to allow its P-8 Poseidon maritime surveillance planes to land and refuel there, according to four senior Indonesian officials familiar with the matter.

U.S. officials made multiple “high-level” approaches in July and August to Indonesia’s defence and foreign ministers before Indonesia’s president, Joko Widodo, rebuffed the request, the officials said.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in a statement today said the meeting, attended by representatives from 21 APEC economies, would also discuss anti-corruption efforts and initiatives in the Asia Pacific region.
