Israel expels head of Islamic Cemeteries Committee from Jerusalem

21 Oct 2021; MEMO: The Israeli occupation authorities have expelled the head of the Islamic Cemeteries Care Committee, Haj Mustafa Abu Zahra, from Jerusalem, Safa news agency has reported. The expulsion order is in place for 10 days and was made a day after he was arrested and taken for interrogation.

Eyewitnesses said that occupation police and intelligence officers arrested Abu Zahra in Al-Masara neighbourhood opposite Damascus Gate in occupied Jerusalem. He owns a food store in the area.

Palestine: US trying to get more Arab states to normalise ties with Israel: PA

21 Oct 2021; MEMO: The United States has been trying to drag more Arab and Muslim states to normalise ties with the occupation state of Israel, Palestinian Authority (PA) Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki said yesterday.

Speaking to Voice of Palestine radio, Al-Maliki said: "US Department of State has been working with Arab and Muslim states to normalise ties with Israel as a price for the Israeli government's opposition to the reopening of the US consulate in occupied Jerusalem."

Hamas Says Israeli Captives Only, To Be Exchanged For Palestinian Prisoners

GAZA, Oct 19 (NNN-WAFA) – Hamas said, Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip will only be exchanged, for the release of Palestinians imprisoned in Israeli jails.

Hamas, which has been ruling the Gaza Strip, home for more than two million Palestinians, since 2007, said in a press statement that, Israel “must understand that a prisoners’ swap deal is the only way that can bring its captive soldiers back.”

Palestine Condemns The Building Of New Israeli Settlement In The West Bank

RAMALLAH, Oct 17 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestine yesterday condemned the construction of a new Israeli settlement, on a Palestinian-owned land, south of the West Bank city of Nablus.

Establishing a new settlement “undermines the chances for making peace, based on the vision of the two-state solution,” the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement.

“The new project includes building a bus station for Israeli settlers, between Ramallah and Nablus, to facilitate their movement and link the settlement road network with Israel.”

Palestine: Hamas, PA condemn Israel's plan to build bus station in West Bank

18 Oct 2021; MEMO: The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas and the Palestinian Authority (PA) on Sunday condemned Israel's building of a large bus station in the occupied West Bank.

In a statement, Hamas announced: "Building an Israeli bus station near the West Bank city of Nablus is a new crime and Zionist oppression on the Palestinians."

Palestine welcomes efforts of preventing admission of Israel as AU observer member

RAMALLAH, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Palestine on Saturday welcomed the efforts to prevent the immediate accession of Israel as an observer state in the African Union (AU).

The AU Executive Council, which concluded its 39th ordinary session held in Addis Ababa for two days, decided on Friday to postpone taking a final position regarding granting Israel observer status in the union until the AU summit scheduled for February 2022.

Israeli Soldiers Kill Palestinian Young Man In West Bank

RAMALLAH, Oct 15 (NNN-WAFA) – Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian young man last night, near the West Bank city of Bethlehem, Palestinian security sources and eyewitnesses said.

The Palestinian young man, whose identity wasn’t immediately known, was shot dead by Israeli soldiers, in the town of Beit Jala, west of Bethlehem, the sources said.

Israeli soldiers opened fire at two Palestinian young men, killing one of them and wounding the other, according to eyewitnesses.

Hamas welcomes UNESCO pro- Palestine resolutions

15 Oct 2021; MEMO: Hamas yesterday welcomed two resolutions adopted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in favour of Palestine at the 212th session of its executive board held in Paris.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry in Gaza said the resolutions on occupied Palestine and cultural and educational institutions were unanimously adopted by members of the organisation's executive council.
