India: 22-yr-old woman raped by 2 men in Anand Vihar

New Delhi, Nov 8 (PTI) A 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a property dealer and his associate on the pretext of providing her a job in Anand Vihar area, police said Thursday.

The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon, they added.

In her complaint to police, the woman alleged that the property dealer called her to his associate's office in Anand Vihar on the day of Diwali on the pretext of giving her a job and the duo raped her, a senior police officer said.

Several dead in California bar shooting

Raipur, Nov 8 (PTI) Four civilians and a CISF jawan were killed when suspected Naxals detonated a bus with an improvised explosive device (IED) in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district on Thursday, four days ahead of the first phase of elections in the state, police said.

Two personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) were also injured in the explosion, the third Naxal attack in 15 days in the poll-bound state.

THE UNITED NATIONS, November 7. /TASS/. Russia has requested to hold closed UN Security Council consultations on sanctions against North Korea on November 8, official spokesman for the Russian Permanent Mission to the UN Fyodor Strzhizhovsky told TASS on Wednesday.

"Russia requested consultations on the topic of sanctions against North Korea during tomorrow's general consultations at UN SC. The talks will be held behind closed doors," Strzhizhovsky said.

US says N. Korea canceled meeting

Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha provided no reason, aside from “busy schedules,” for why North Korea canceled the meeting set for Thursday in New York that was meant to discuss ridding the North of its nuclear weapons and setting up a second summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
