BEIJING, Feb 5 (APP): Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has never been part of India and even the Indian constitution has never recognized IIOJK as part of India. Kashmiris through persist struggle will eventually obtain the right to self-determination of the future destiny of IIOJK.


For decades, the Pakistani people as well as the international community have been extending moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmiris for their right to self-determination in accordance with the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.

“It has been observed that they (opposition leaders) always get untied whenever there is seriousness in their cases and efforts are accelerated to bring back their ill-gotten money stashed in foreign countries,” he said while talking to media.

United Nations, Feb 5 (AP) China's UN ambassador said Friday the US should come up with more attractive and more practical policies and actions to reduce tensions with North Korea and avoid a return to a vicious circle of confrontation, condemnation and sanctions over its nuclear and ballistic missile program.

Zhang Jun said that the solution lies in direct dialogue and that if the Biden administration wants to see a breakthrough with Pyongyang they should show more sincerity and flexibility.

BEIJING, Feb 4 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday reiterated Pakistan’s stance that the key driver in international politics should be cooperation, rather than confrontation as the world did not need another Cold War.

“In view of myriad global challenges, the world did not need another Cold War. Divisions could result in mounting sufferings and prevent common benefits. Pakistan was, therefore, of the belief that the key driver in international politics should be cooperation, rather than confrontation,” he said.

Russia, China push back against US in pre-Olympics summit

BEIJING, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games will be the start of a new era for winter sports worldwide with over 300 million Chinese taking up winter sports, said International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach on Thursday, as he opened the 139th IOC Session in the Chinese capital on the eve of the Opening Ceremony.

China firmly opposes U.S. unreasonable suppression of Chinese telecom operator

BEIJING, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- China firmly opposes the United States' generalization of the concept of national security, its abuse of state power, and its unreasonable suppression of Chinese enterprises in the absence of facts, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said in a statement on Thursday.

The ministry made the statement in response to the decision by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to revoke China Unicom Americas' authority to provide telecom services in the United States late last month.

Pakistani squad arrives to participate in Beijing Winter Olympics

BEIJING, Feb 2 (APP): A five-member Pakistani squad arrived here on Wednesday to participate in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games scheduled to be held from February 4.

“Pakistani contingent comprises one athlete and four officials,” Agha Hunain Abbas Khan, Olympic Attach, Embassy of Pakistan Beijing told APP.


He informed that Pakistani athlete and officials had completed all the Covid-19 requirements before travelling to Beijing.

Chinese mainland reports 27 new local COVID-19 cases

BEIJING, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese mainland reported 27 new locally-transmitted COVID-19 infections on Monday, down from 40 on Sunday.

Of the new local cases, 13 were reported in the province of Zhejiang, seven in Tianjin, four in Hebei, two in Beijing, and one in Guangdong, according to the National Health Commission on Tuesday.

Besides, a total of 39 new imported COVID-19 cases were reported across the Chinese mainland on Monday.
