Russian checkpoint’s work not affected by lockdown in China border city

BEIJING, November 22. /TASS/: The Chinese authorities’ decision to impose a lockdown in Manzhouli, a city in the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, northeast China, has not affected the work of the Russian-Chinese border crossing Zabaykalsk-Manchuria, Russia’s Consul-General in Harbin Vladimir Oschepkov told TASS on Sunday.

Cambodia Arrests Man With Over 48 Kg Of Illicit Drugs

PHNOM PENH, Nov 22 (NNN-AKP) – Cambodian authorities arrested a 35-year-old local man for allegedly trafficking more than 48 kg of illicit drugs, the National Police reported today.

The suspect was first arrested on Wednesday, near a gas station in the capital, Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district, with 100 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and after being questioned, he confessed to having hidden a large amount of drugs in his rented room.

Azerbaijan: Armenians turned Aghdam into ruined city

In Aghdam, where the Armenian army withdrew Nov. 20, there are almost no steady buildings.

Thai students rally for educational and political reforms

Bangkok, Nov 21 (AP-PTI) Secondary school students in Thailand's capital rallied Saturday for educational and political reforms, defying government threats to crack down with legal action against the country's high-profile protest movement.

The rally was called by a group that calls itself Bad Students, mocking their status as rebels against traditional school rules and authorities.

China to launch moon probe, seeking first lunar rock retrieval since 1970s

BEIJING (Reuters) - China plans to launch an unmanned spacecraft to the moon this week to bring back lunar rocks in the first attempt by any nation to retrieve samples from Earth’s natural satellite since the 1970s.

The Chang’e-5 probe, named after the ancient Chinese goddess of the moon, will seek to collect material that can help scientists understand more about the moon’s origins and formation. The mission will test China’s ability to remotely acquire samples from space, ahead of more complex missions.

Singapore's PM calls for affordable access to vaccines, better global disease surveillance networks at G20 summit

SINGAPORE, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has put forward two suggestions on what G20 countries could do together at the G20 summit on Saturday, the Straits Times report on Sunday.

The first suggestion is to ensure affordable and equitable access to vaccines. Lee said that he was glad the G20 had advanced vaccine multilateralism by backing global initiatives such as the Access to COVID-19 Tools Accelerator and the COVID-19 Vaccine Global Access Facility.

Any scheme to sabotage China-Pakistan Economic Corridor won’t succeed: China

BEIJING, Nov 21 (APP): China has reaffirmed its support to Pakistan in fighting terrorist forces and stressed that any scheme to sabotage the building of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) flagship project linking the two countries will not succeed.

“I have already made my response to this issue. No attempt to sabotage the CPEC will succeed,” Zhao Lijian made these remarks during his briefing while answering a question about the Foreign Minister and Director General, ISPR joint briefing wherein they accused India of supporting terrorist forces and sabotaging CPEC.

China Seed Association proposes inter-enterprise coop for Sino-Pak seed industry

BEIJING, Nov. 21 (APP): Zhang Qin, Vice President of China Seed Association (CSA) has proposed inter-enterprise cooperation for seed industry between China and Pakistan.

Addressing a webinar themed China-Pakistan Agricultural Technology Cooperation and Prospects, she said the association had established communication and cooperation mechanisms with multinational counterparts, and organized member enterprises to visit Pakistan, Uzbekistan and other countries to promote seed industry exchanges and cooperation.

Armenia felt Russia's support during the war in Karabakh, Pashinyan says

YEREVAN, November 21. /TASS/: Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu said that Armenia felt Russia’s support during the war in Nagorno-Karabakh.
