Palestine: Stealing lands does not change reality on the ground: MP

03 March 2022; MEMO: Palestinian MP, Ahmad Attoun, said yesterday that Israel's theft of Palestinian land in Jerusalem does not change the reality on the ground, the Palestinian Information Centre reported.

His remarks came following an Israeli Planning and Construction Committee's decision to steal the land of the centuries-old Muslim graveyard located east of Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque – Al-Yusufiyah Cemetery.

PA to investigate hosting extremist Israel Jewish rabbi in West Bank

03 March 2022; MEMO: Palestinian Authority (PA) yesterday ordered the closure of Beit Al Liqa, a Christian association in Bethlehem for a week, while it probes its decision to host extremist Israeli Jewish rabbi Yehuda Glick, Anadolu reported.

Glick, a former member of Israel's Knesset, is one of the most notorious extremist Israeli Jewish rabbis, and is known for his repeated provocative desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Three Palestinians Killed In Clashes With Israeli Soldiers In West Bank

RAMALLAH, Mar 2 (NNN-WAFA) – Three Palestinian young men were killed by Israeli soldiers, in two separate incidents in the West Bank, in less than 24 hours, Palestinian medics and eyewitnesses said yesterday.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said, in a press statement that, Ammar Abu Afifa, a 23-year-old Palestinian man, was killed by Israeli soldiers, near the Beit Fajjar village, close to the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

Israel demolishes three Palestinian business structures in occupied East Jerusalem

28 Feb 2022; MEMO: Israeli municipal authorities ordered the demolition of a Palestinian grocery store, bakery and carwash in the occupied East Jerusalem neighbourhood of Jabal Al-Mukabbir.

According to Wafa news agency the commercial buildings were targeted because occupation forces say they were built without the necessary permits.

Palestinian and Israeli rights groups say the Israeli demolition policy aims to limit the presence of Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem.

Palestine: PA protests against French PM's remarks on Jerusalem

01 March 2022; MEMO:The Palestinian Authority (PA)'s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates summoned the French Consul General in Jerusalem, Rene Trokaz, to protest against French Prime Minister Jean Castex's remarks on Jerusalem.

In a statement, the ministry said that its Undersecretary Amal Jadu expressed "discontent" of the PA leadership over Castex's remarks in which he described Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel.

Red Crescent condemns Israeli attacks on its crew

25 Feb 2022; MEMO: The Palestinian Red Crescent Society, yesterday, slammed the Israeli forces for targeting its medical staff, adding that their attacks were becoming "common, specifically in Nablus' southern town of Beita."

The Movement said in a statement that the occupation had "fired live bullets, rubber-coated metal bullets, and tear gas canisters at Palestinian protesters in Beita," adding that the violence had left about "100 casualties."

UN Official Condemns Killing Of Palestinian Boy By Israeli Soldiers In West Bank

RAMALLAH, Feb 24 (NNN-WAFA) – The United Nations yesterday condemned the killing of a Palestinian boy by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank.

In a press statement, Tor Wennesland, UN special coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, expressed his deep concern over the killing of Mohammad Shehada, 14, on Tuesday night, near the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

On Tuesday night, Palestinian social media activists published video footage of the boy, lying on the floor, half-naked on his upper part, covered with blood and surrounded by several Israeli soldiers.

UN Agency For Palestine Refugees Struggles To Obtain Funds

GAZA, Feb 24 (NNN-WAFA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), is going through a tough funding phase, to provide services to Palestinian refugees, a senior official said yesterday.

“UNRWA seeks 1.6 billion U.S. dollars in support, from the international community to cover expenses, provide services and humanitarian development programmes for Palestinian refugees,” Thomas White, director of UNRWA’s operations in the Gaza Strip, told reporters at his office in Gaza.

Palestine: UNRWA prepares 54 emergency shelters in Gaza

23 Feb 2022; MEMO: UNRWA has prepared 54 shelters to house displaced Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip, the director of the organisation in Gaza said during a conference today.

Speaking from Gaza, Thomas White said: "We aspire to increase the number of shelters so that we can meet the requirements of any emergency need in Gaza," noting that UNRWA seeks to secure "mobile shelters" that can be used in times of emergency.
