Jerusalem Patriarch condemns settler attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque

27 Sep 2022; MEMO: The Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem, Theophilos III, has condemned the extremist Jews' attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque, warning that any change to the status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque is equivalent to a threat to the status quo in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Patriarch Theophilos III said in a statement issued yesterday that increasing attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque are a "blatant aggression against religious rights", adding that it is imperative for all honourable Muslims and Christians to unite in defeating them.

Palestine: PA policies destroyed Palestinian institutions; Arafat's nephew

27 Sep 2022; MEMO: The policies of the Palestinian Authority (PA) in the occupied West Bank have "destroyed Palestinian institutions", the Head of National Democratic Forum, Naser Al-Qudwa, said yesterday.

PA policies "led to the absence of law and flagrant violations of human rights that keep up with the policies of the Israeli occupation," he explained.

Jerusalem priest calls on Christians to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque from Israeli raids

27 Sep 2022; MEMO: Father Manuel Musallam, a Palestinian catholic priest, yesterday called for all Christians in Palestine to mobilise and protect Al-Aqsa Mosque from planned Israeli settler raids in the coming days and weeks.

In a press release, Musallam said that the "success of the settler plans to demolish Al-Aqsa Mosque means the demolition of the Christian and Islamic existence in Jerusalem."

24 Sep 2022; MEMO: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas accused Israel of killing Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh and urged the US to prosecute her killers.

Abbas announced before the United Nations (UN) General Assembly that Israel is killing the Palestinian people without accountability, as it did with Shireen Abu Akleh: "Who was killed by a sniper's bullet intended to kill her, and Israel admitted that the sniper did indeed kill her."

1 Palestinian killed, 3 injured by Israeli soldiers in West Bank: medics

RAMALLAH, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian was killed and three others injured on Sunday by Israeli soldiers in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian and Israeli sources said.

Palestinian security sources and local eyewitnesses said a 25-year-old man was shot dead by Israeli soldiers when they opened fire at a motorcycle and a car in Nablus.

Another three Palestinians, who were in the attacked vehicle, were injured, including one in serious condition. Local medical sources said the three were taken to the city hospital.

Dozens Of Palestinians Injured In Clashes With Israeli Soldiers In West Bank: Medics

RAMALLAH, Sept 24 (NNN-WAFA) – Dozens of Palestinian protesters were injured, during clashes with Israeli soldiers, in several West Bank cities and villages yesterday, Palestinian medics and eyewitnesses said.

Among the injured were three, shot by live ammunition and nine by rubber-coated steel bullets, while the others inhaled teargas, fired by the Israeli soldiers, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement.
