Israel settlers cut down olive trees in Palestine village

10 Sep 2022; MEMO:Israeli occupation settlers cut down at least 25 olive trees on a Palestinian farm in the village of Qaryout, south of the West Bank city of Nablus, on Saturday morning.

Local Palestinian Authority (PA) official Ghassan Daghlas confirmed that the olive trees were planted on private Palestinian land.

Daghlas explained that Israeli occupation settlers trespassed onto the farm and cut down the olive trees, pointing out that the olive harvest season starts at the end of September.

37 Palestinians injured in West Bank clash: medics

RAMALLAH, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- At least 37 Palestinians were injured Friday during clashes with Israeli soldiers in the West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian medics and eyewitnesses said.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that among the injured were three shot by live ammunition and nine by rubber bullets, while the others inhaled teargas fired by Israeli soldiers.

Palestinian PM Calls For Immediate Protection Of Two-State Solution

RAMALLAH, Sept 9 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammed Ishtaye, yesterday called on the international community, to act immediately to protect the two-state solution, the prime minister’s office said in a statement.

Ishtaye made the remarks, when meeting with Luxembourg’s Minister of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, Franz Fayot, in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Palestinian PM Urged Int’l Community To Pressure Israel To Allow Elections In East Jerusalem

RAMALLAH, Sept 8 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammed Ishtaye, yesterday called on the international community, to pressure Israel to allow the holding of elections in the Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, and allow Palestinian citizens there to participate in the elections by casting their votes and running as electoral candidates.

Ishtaye made the call during a meeting in the West Bank city of Ramallah, with the Norwegian special envoy to the Middle East, Hilde Haraldstad, according to an official statement.

Palestine: Israeli forces kill another Palestinian minor in occupied West Bank

08 Sep 2022; MEMO: The Israeli occupation forces shot dead another Palestinian minor this morning near the village of Beitin, to the east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the young Palestinian as Haitham Hani Mubarak, 17. He was shot and killed during an Israeli raid of the Palestinian village.

Israel to legalise farm outposts across occupied West Bank

06 Sep 2022; MEMO: Israel's Civil Administration is working towards legalising farm outposts based across the occupied West Bank using new regulations, reported Haaretz.

Around 30 to 35 illegal outposts meet the basic criteria which includes being located on "state-owned land".

The implementation of the new system will require the approval of Defence Minister Benny Gantz and the Israeli Ministry of Justice.

Israel threatens to close school in Ramallah

06 Sep 2022; MEMO: Israeli occupation authorities yesterday threatened to close a Palestinian school in the village of Deir Nizam, northwest of Ramallah, alleging students throw stones at Israeli occupation soldiers.

Badr Shreitah, the school headmaster, said Israeli occupation forces surrounded Deir Nizam secondary school and threatened to shut it down for one month if stone-throwing by students continues.
