Jewish settlers turning against Israeli army in West Bank, amid rising settler violence

22 October 2022; MEMO: The Israeli military and authorities in the occupied West Bank are struggling to restrain Jewish settlers who are violently attacking Israeli forces, as over 100 settler crimes were recorded in the past 10 days alone.

According to the Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, a sharp rise in crimes and violence committed by Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank has not only targeted Palestinians and properties such as mosques, cars, shops and olive trees, but has also turned on the occupation's own military.

21 October 2022; MEMO: Senior member of Hamas, Osama Hamdan, has said "what is happening in the West Bank is not a passing reaction, but rather a continuous revolutionary situation."

In an interview with Sawt Al-Aqsa radio yesterday evening, Hamdan said the Palestinian people are "unbreakable", and "continue their struggle with a united resistance."

Senior Hamas Delegation To Visit Syria For First Time In 10 Years

GAZA, Oct 19 (NNN-WAFA) – The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), yesterday announced that, a senior Hamas delegation would visit Syria today, for the first time in 10 years.

Hamas spokesman in Gaza, Hazem Qassem, said that, the delegation would be headed by Khalil Al-Hayya, the movement’s leader, in charge of the Hamas bureau of Arab and Islamic Relations.

Palestine: Lion's Den fighters rejects Israel proposal to give up resistance

19 October 2022; MEMO: Palestinian fighters in the West Bank city of Nablus, known as the Lion's Den, have rejected an Israeli proposal to lay down their arms and give up their resistance to the occupation.

Yedioth Ahronoth reported the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper saying that the proposal requires the group to lay down their weapons and hand themselves over to the Palestinian Authority (PA) for a brief imprisonment in return for amnesty.

Hamas delegation set to visit Syria today

19 October 2022; MEMO: A Hamas delegation will visit Syria on Wednesday, a spokesman for the Palestinian group told Anadolu Agency.

Hazem Qassem said the delegation will hold talks with Syrian regime officials, without providing any further details.

"The trip is part of a visit by a number of delegations from Palestinian factions to Damascus," he added.

Last month, Hamas said it will pursue efforts to normalise relations with the Syrian regime.

Another Palestinian Died From Wounds After Clashes With Israeli Soldiers: Medics

RAMALLAH, Oct 17 (NNN-WAFA) – Another Palestinian man succumbed to the wounds sustained from Israeli soldiers’ gunfire, in the village of Qarawat Bani Hassan, near the West Bank city of Salfit, Palestinian medics said yesterday.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that, Mujahid Dawoud, 30, from the village, succumbed to critical wounds early yesterday.

On Saturday afternoon, five Palestinians were injured during clashes with Israeli soldiers in the village of Qarawat Bani Hassan, including Dawoud, who suffered severe wounds in the chest.

Palestine: Nablus siege will remain 'indefinitely,' says Israeli official

17 October 2022; MEMO: An Israeli security official said yesterday that the siege imposed on the occupied Palestinian city of Nablus would "remain in effect indefinitely."

Israeli broadcaster Kan quoted the official as saying that there had never been any "armed attack emerging from Nablus' siege," stressing that the blockade would remain "as needed."
