Lebanon's president urges protesters to leave streets to allow implementation of reforms

BEIRUT, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese President Michel Aoun on Tuesday called on the protesters to leave the streets, while assuring that he supports all of their demands and implementation of reforms.

"If the Lebanese stay in the streets, they will ruin the country and we will reach a disastrous situation. We still have the opportunity to get out of our current situation if people go back to their work and we restore normal life in the country," Aoun said in a televised interview.

Israeli strikes kill 2 Gaza militants; death toll now at 12

JERUSALEM (AP) — Gaza officials say new Israel airstrikes have killed two militants, raising the death toll to 12 since the latest escalation erupted.

The Islamic Jihad says two of its fighters were targeted Wednesday, as rocket fire into Israel resumed along with Israeli retaliation after a brief overnight lull. Nearly all the casualties were Islamic Jihad members.

The military says some 220 rockets have been fired since Tuesday, following an Israel strike that killed a senior Islamic Jihad commander.

Jordan’s Recalled Ambassador To Return To Israel

MMAN, Nov 12 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordanian foreign minister, said on Monday that, the country’s ambassador to Israel will return to Tel Aviv, after having been recalled over Israeli continued detention of two Jordanians.

Ayman Safadi made the announcement at a press conference, where he said, the ambassador will return to Israel on Tuesday (today) or Wednesday (tomorrow).

Jordan is committed to the peace treaty with Israel and peace is a strategic Arab option, he noted.

UAE Cabinet approves policy against domestic violence

Hezbollah: Regional environment ready to confront Israel

Nasrallah hailed remarks by Houthi leader, Abdul Malik Al-Houthi in which he threatened to use utmost power to respond to threats posed by Israel.

Israel murders senior Islamic Jihad official and his wife in Gaza

12 Nov 2019; MEMO: The Israeli occupation army announced on Tuesday that it had killed a senior military official of Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip. Bahaa Abu Al-Ata was killed in what was described as a complicated joint operation with the internal security agency Shin Bet.
