Palestinian Teenager Shot Dead By Israeli Soldiers In West Bank

RAMALLAH, Mar 3 (NNN-WAFA) – A Palestinian teenager was killed, and another two injured yesterday, by Israeli soldiers, in a village east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilya, the Palestinian Health Ministry said in a press statement.

Mohamed Islim, 15, died after he was shot in the back by Israeli soldiers, who stormed the village of Azzun, the statement read.

Turkey's opposition alliance splits over election candidate

ANKARA, March 3 (Reuters) - A Turkish opposition leader threw an opposition alliance against President Tayyip Erdogan into turmoil on Friday when she withdrew her party from the bloc due to disagreement over who should run for president in elections scheduled in two months.

The public split, following months of simmering discord, came after Erdogan said this week the elections would be held on May 14, despite criticism of his government's response to last month's devastating earthquakes in southeast Turkey.

Palestine condemns Israeli PM's visit to West Bank settlement

RAMALLAH, March 2 (Xinhua) -- Palestine on Thursday condemned the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to the Israeli settlement of Har Brakha near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said in a press statement that "the provocative visit of Netanyahu into the West Bank and the hostile statements and stances he made are rejected and condemned."
