It was reported earlier, citing the press service of the Russian standardization authority Rosstandart that the national state standard authorizing installation of traffic signs with smaller dimensions became effective in Russia since May 1.

Syrian army reaches Idlib border - TV

MOSCOW, May 11. /TASS/: The Syrian military forces have liberated five settlements in the northwest of Syria from terrorists on Saturday, reaching the administrative border between the provinces of Idlib and Hama, the Al Mayadeen TV channel informed.

According to the channel, the Syrian fighters had managed to destroy a command center and several warehouses belonging to the Jabhat al-Nusra terror group (outlawed in Russia).

Pakistan, China working to resolve issue of marriages of Pakistani women

ISLAMABAD, May 12 (APP): Pakistan and China are working closely to resolve the issue of marriages of Pakistani women and human trafficking by some Chinese nationals.

This was stated by Foreign Office spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Faisal in a statement issued here on Sunday.

Facebook rejects call for its breakup for being "too big"

SAN FRANCISCO, May 11 (Xinhua): It's not justified to split Facebook for being a "big" company when it comes to technology's impact on society, said Nick Clegg, Facebook's vice president for global affairs and communications, on Saturday.

In an opinion note published by The New York Times Saturday, Clegg rejected an earlier statement by Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes, who urged federal regulators to break up Facebook for being "a monopoly" that limits competition and holds back innovation.

2 Kashmiri killed by Indian security forces in Indian administered Kashmir

Srinagar, May 12: Two Kashmiris have been killed in an alleged encounter with Indian security forces in Shopian district, an Indian army official said.

The Indian security forces' spokesman alleged that a cordon and search operation in Hindsitapur area of Shopian district in south Kashmir was conducted following specific information about the presence of Kashmiri separatists there.

India: Guj man killed after being attacked by cow

Ahmedabad, May 11 (PTI) A 60-year-old man died after being attacked by a cow on Friday night in Vinoba Bhave Nagar in Vinzol locality here, police said.

A Vatva MIDC police station official said deceased Gopinath Tiwari and his family were having sugarcane juice from a stall at around 9:30pm when the cow charged at him.
