India: Doctor booked for attempting to rape woman

Muzaffarnagar (UP), Apr 3 (PTI) An FIR has been registered against a doctor who reportedly attempted to rape a woman while taking her blood sample in Shamli district, police said Wednesday.

The incident was reported from Jhinjhana police station area on Tuesday, they said.

The accused Jasvir visited the 24-year-old victim to collect her blood sample. He then tried to force himself on the woman, police said.

The victim raised an alarm and the accused ran away from the spot, they said.

Efforts are on to trace Jasvir, police added.

India: Constable held for raping 6-yr-old daughter

Raigarh, Apr 3 (PTI) A police constable has been arrested for allegedly raping his six-year-old daughter in Chhattisgarh's Raigarh district, an official said Wednesday.

As per the complaint filed by the 45-year-old accused's wife, he allegedly raped the child at their home in the city on March 29 and threatened her not to disclose it to anyone, the police official said.

The girl, however, later informed about the incident to her mother who approached the police on Monday, he said.

CARACAS, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Venezuela's Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) President Maikel Moreno on Monday reconfirmed the order to prohibit opposition leader Juan Guaido from leaving the country and asked the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) to strip him of his parliamentary immunity.

Moreno said a "certified copy of the decision will be sent to the ANC for the purpose of stripping Juan Guaido's parliamentary immunity."

British lawmakers reject all four Brexit options in second round of unbinding vote
