Qatar Signs Deal With China’s Yutong To Manufacture Electric Buses

DOHA, Dec 2 (NNN-QNA) – Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA), signed an agreement with China’s Yutong, one of the world’s leading bus makers, to manufacture electric buses.

According to the deal, the first e-buses will be produced for the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022. Yutong will provide Qatar with 1,002 vehicles for the tournament, including 741 electric vehicles.

Israel expects $220 million in non-defence trade with Bahrain in 2021

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel foresees $220 million in non-defence trade with Bahrain in 2021, the Economy Ministry said on Wednesday as it hosted a delegation from the Gulf state to cement newly established ties.

Bahrain and neighbour the United Arab Emirates normalised relations with Israel on Sept. 15, a U.S.-brokered pact motivated by business prospects as well as shared worries about Iran.

U.N. refugee agency for Palestinians pays salaries, but crisis persists

Iranian President criticizes parliament's bill urging suspension of UN nuke inspections

TEHRAN, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday criticized a parliament's bill calling for suspension of UN inspections of the country's nuclear facilities, official IRNA news agency reported.

"The government does not agree with the bill passed by the parliament yesterday," Rouhani was quoted as saying.

"It (the bill) would be detrimental to diplomatic efforts," he added.

A day earlier, the Iranian parliament passed a bill which urges the government of Rouhani to stop UN nuclear watchdog's inspections of Iran's nuclear facilities.

Israeli parliament okays preliminary vote to disperse

JERUSALEM, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Israeli parliament on Wednesday voted in favor of a bill to disperse itself, in a move that could force a fourth election within two years.

Some 61 lawmakers voted in favor of the bill, while 54 voted against it. The bill still needs to undergo three more full rounds of votes before getting its final approval.

"On 1 December, a judge said Ahmadreza was to be transferred to Rajai Shahr prison TODAY to proceed with his imminent execution," Amnesty International said on Twitter.

02 Dec 2020; MEMO:  Lebanon's central bank can keep basic subsidies for only two more months and the state should come up with a plan, Governor Riad Salameh said on Tuesday as the country's financial crisis spirals.

He told Saudi's al-Hadath TV the central bank would commit to providing Lebanese government accounts for a forensic audit, but that disclosing those of domestic banks would require a change in legislation.
